When you hit 10k,

The site will probably be long dead and buried by the time I make 10k posts.
Unless I start neglecting life responsibilities and spending every waking moment responding to every thread, not so much because they interest me but rather because I want to increase my post count and notoriety. It would probably also help to make up some kind of interesting persona where I'm obsessed with something or have particular views which I manage to work into every post I make no matter how irrelevant it seems at the time.
But when I hit 1000 posts late this year I will probably write some gigantic thread detailing many thoughts or random ideas I've had/have.

Eh, I don't post nearly often enough to reach that amount and if I ever get that high (ha ha), I'll probably just mention that this is my 10k post in whatever topic I'm commenting on.
It does indeed, but somehow, denouncing these celebratory posts seems as self-gratifying as does making them. Seriously, this whole deal with post counts is quickly blowing out of proportions. Take five people, and chill out.Glerken said:

I will almost certainly never make 10k. I don't tend to post unless I have something to say, hence my relatively small post count.
