There is one point is Persona 4 that is so heartrendingly tragic that it almost had me crying my eyes out. The game had so much characterization that becoming attached to some characters is inevitable. It makes one particular plot twist so horrifying to watch that you almost want to restart from your last save point praying that you can do something to prevent it from happening again...

When I would slap my friend over the head shouting "WHATS THE MATTER WITH YOU!" when he harvested a little sister on my account on Bioshock.

When I cried when your love interest died at the end of Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops, the music was really good and there was a foreshadowing sequence, didn't realize I was crying until the final boss fight started. Kinda made it hard to concentrate. Think that's the only time I've cried because of a game.

I generally take gaming too serious I guess. I'm very critical if the plot to any story based videogames doesn't come up to the standard of the best (Grim Fandango, Broken Sword, Silent Hill).
W00T!! Grim Fandango!

I missed 4th of July one year by playing Star Control 2 on the 3DO.. yeah this was a while ago) for 18 hours straight.
That's pretty bad! I tried to think if I ever missed a holiday or anything, but the worst I could think of was missing social outings because I HAD to play a game.

Usually I realize I'm losing it when I talk about my actions in a game in the first person.

Boyfriend: What did you do today?

Me: I took the mako around this stupid hazard 1 planet, had to play the get out of the car, get in the car game to shoot some geth for extra exp. You don't get as much just using the Mako. But if you get out too long, the environment damages you. Plus Ashley was being such a jerk, hate her so much. I really like Kaiden, but I worry that the chain of command will hamper our relationship.

Boyfriend: How would that affect our relationship?!

Me: Oh no, not *ours*, Kaiden's and mine. Because I'm his superior officer, he'd be intimidated so he might not turn down my advances, just because he wouldn't want me to make things bad for him. We're team mates, so we rely on each other to stay alive. I'd hate for him to let our feelings interfere with our job.

Boyfriend: Should I be worried?

TOO MUCH GAMING.
