When you think about it, taking the red pill was a really bad idea.

I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned this, but you get to fight superpowered agents with any weapons you can carry. If I can do that car chase they had in the second Matrix, it would be worth living in the "real" world (which isn't more real than the Matrix, of course).

I'm pretty sure that whole movie was meant to be a drug trip.

I mean, he goes out clubbing, chases the white rabbit - which I can only assume is a euphemism for cocaine, ends up back at some creepy apartment taking pills out of some dodge looking dealers hands.

Then his perception of the world goes haywire, he thinks he is invincible, fighting off businessmen with sunglasses and flying.

This is how I always saw it, roughly anyway. It's been a while.

Well, it's the result that counts, and at the end, everything seems nicely rebuilt to me...
Yes I was paying zero attention to that movie.
Also, how is it a bad idea? *starts gobbing red pills*
Hmmm Strawberry

Red pill: You become the "hero" in three pretty terrible movies.
Blue pill: Ahhh, ignorance is bliss.

I'm picking blue.

What the hell is it with the Escapist and threads based around the blue pill and the red pill? xD

Also, of course it was. I'd rather live in a fake bliss than real terror.
Junkie userbase, maybe? I dunno.

At any rate, I'd rather get the fuck out of the machine rather than being a electrical steak for the machines.

THANK YOU! I keep saying this exact same thing! So many things that don't make sense!

How the fuck can they even live outside the Matrix? There are no plants, no animals, and they live underground yet they still somehow manage to make that weird porage they eat. From what? Rocks? How can they breathe if there are no trees to recycle the appropriate gases? How did they build an entire city right under the noses of their robot overlords? Where did they get all the materials for the buildings? Dead robots? How did they kill them? With weapons? Made from what?

AARRGGH!!!!

And there's one part in that movie in the beginning chase scene where you can see the roof of the studio they're shooting in. It's hard to notice, but it's there.

EDIT: I should mention that I've only seen the first one.

Taking the red pill lets you go back into the matrix (or the first level of the matrix) with a cool trenchcoat, knowing Kung-Fu and the ability to do nearly everything. Sure, you gotta look out for Agents and eat gruel for the rest of your life but you know Kung-Fu.

Well if he didn't take the pill, one good movie and two terrible ones would never of been made.

if he did take the blue pill, the film would have been a lot shorter and we wouldn't have had to suffer through that god awful sex scene.

Shit. I have to watch these movies again real bad. Open up Blockbuster. Damn you.
I Did a few days ago on Blu-ray. It was quite awesome.

Though i dont really have any ammunition on the debate, I can point out that the Irish guy (how the hell did i forget his name?!) The one that is bald and turned on Neo's group did so, so he can reverse the effects of taking the Red (?) pill. To live in the ignorance of the Matrix and not the nightmare. (Watch the Restaurant scene with the agent again if you want proof.)

I would have practised until my powers where awesome then stayed inside the matrix, you can be a superhero/supervillain!
