Well if you live in the city I'm assuming you've at least been to Connecticut. Lets just say that upstate is a bit more hilly and less of a perpetual forest full of houses. In my area you'll find hills full of trees amid some gorges and lakes. People are a lot different depending on the area. In Ithaca, for example, the only real source of large scale wealth is higher education, creating a decently varied economy without the wealthy being the "I'm better than you" types that New York produces. Some of the cities, such as Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo, etc, are of a size enough to be a respectable city in their own right, without the desire for something bigger that you'll find in smaller towns like Oswego or Ithaca. To be perfectly honest, most of upstate is a factory of people, where the best people are made but don't often stay (such as Gene Roddenberry, Star Trek creator and Ithaca native).Pm0n3y said:
