In Germany we have a lot of daily newspapers and since I have a lot of downtime at work I tend to skim some of them: One relatively conservative one (F.A.Z.), a quite lefty one (derFreitag) and a typical socialdemocratic one (S.Z.). When it comes to foreign newspapers I check the Guardian (which, I know, is very liberal) and the NewYorker mostly. I once read a Breitbart article a few weeks ago to know what all the fuss is about and was genuinely shocked that anyone could read this and actually believe it. So I will stick to what seems to me to be at least a lot more non-radical than that sh*tpile.

From Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, Samantha Bee, Seth Meyers, Trevor Noah and the likes :D On a serious note, I follow and prefer CNN (I don't care if the D-bag thinks they're fake news).

Usually a friend will ask me "Hey, Panda. Did you hear about x?" followed by however they assimilate the happening into their world view in a way that supports it.

So then I google around the subject in an attempt to try to figure out if they're trying to lead me up the garden path.

That's it.

BBC by default. I then like reading opinion pieces from snooty highbrow magazines like The New Yorker or Private Eye.

Read both sides and settle on the truth being somewhere in the middle.
That sounds good in theory, but where do you get your news for each side? If one of the sides you read is radical and the other side is tame, the middle will tend to lean towards the former side.

Generally The Guardian, The Conversation, BBC News Alerts and New Statesman's Staggers Morning Call. I also get more opinion-y/personal pieces from sites like The Nib, The New Yorker and FiveThirtyEight. All of them, as well as a few other subject-specific sources, I get email newsletters for, which I typically skim through after work.

BBC World and Euronews for non-sensationalist news. I read on the internet too, but it's hard to filter through biased crap.
