I watch them to laugh I really don't agree or disagree with anything it is his opinion. Really a lot of the games he rips apart I enjoyed and bought. I watch yahtzee to get a good laugh nothing more nothing less his reviews are entertainment more then review and they are fun to watch.

I disagree with him on more things than I can care to elaborate on.

I also think he's bloody hilarious. I even watch reviews of games I've never heard of let alone played.

Not the wisest thread in the world I guess, but no, I don't have problems with Yahtzee, maybe he is a bit harsh, but that means when he gives a good review, you know he didn't give it lightly.

Awful idea for a thread. That's all I'm saying.
Yahtzee's just this guy who does reviews. What he says isn't gospel.
I came in my pants when seeing your Avatar.

The only thing I can add is that in the rare case he does recommend a game I do check it out because his taste is pretty similar to mine (I guess)

I watch Yahtzee's reviews for the entertainment value and nothing more. He just seems to me to be a fairly clever guy with a sharp bitting wit and clever turn of phrase who found his niche on the internet.

God help anyone who takes him too seriously.

I beginning to disagree on what he calls a review now - he seems to be going over things less and just taking the piss out of every game. Plus he "reviewed" Duke Nukem which wasn't out yet, but whatever he gets paid for it anyways.

There are many points during his reviews where he'll say something about a game I've played that I will agree with wholeheartedly though.
the Duke Nukem review was just for laughs, i enjoyed it

I completely disagree with his hate of JRPG's.

And a few other things, but I just watch his videos for laughs

When Yahtzee says a game is good, I immediately give serious consideration to picking it up, I generally consider him a decent authority on "good" titles.

When he says a game is bad, I ignore him and read other reviews or rent the game first. He plays far too much for comedy when he says a game is bad, but then again, this IS WHAT HE DOES, I know to expect it, and I always take his game shreddings with a grain of salt and just enjoy them for the comedy.

That's pretty much what you SHOULD do with any critic, learn their quirks and biases, and then you can gain more useful knowledge from their reviews.

I disagree with what he's said on Condemned 2, Mass Effect, and Mirror's Edge. All three are great games, especially the second of the two, but you have to be a bit open-minded and look past a few flaws, something I don't think Yahtzee really does. Or feels like doing.

I've disagreed with him recently. Why? Because I like pepsi.
Other than that, of the games I've played that he's reviewed, I pretty much agree. His racism thing with Uncharted seemed as if he was over-analysing things a bit, though.

I like JRPGs and visual novels, but I concede he does have good points about them and they're not genres for everyone. Mainly, I watch him for the entertainment value.

I actually agree with basically everything he says, not because I am a mindless minion or anything, he just talks a lot of sense. P.S. Mirror' Edge was awful.

He can be a bit too nitpicky. But he admits that himself. Cant have a ZP without critisism now matter how hard you have to look.

I was pretty pissed off about his review for The Witcher though.
