I usually agree with most of what he says, even about games i enjoy. He is a critic so hes going to focus on the negatives and although he usually exaggerates them hes usually right.

In saying that there's a few games he canned that I quite enjoyed. Can't hate him for doing his job though, which he does very entertainingly, especially the mailbag showdown against the Super Smash Bros fans :)

I often laugh, and agree on select points, even if I disagree with his conclusion. The Witcher, Mirror's Edge & Dead Space spring to mind, being 3 games I loved to bits that he pulled to pieces, still, I'm not offended, it's what he does. I mean, the guy acknowledges a big Charlie Brooker influence - everyone except Bush loving creotards knows Charlie doesn't mean half the things he says and writes.

I usually enjoy Yahtzee's reviews, because he reveals all the 'pink elephants' that people are usually thinking, but afraid to say. He's kinda like a ...eh..'spokesman'.

That said, I really do like my Jrpgs. He admittedly makes some good points about their deficits, but I feel he doesn't give them enough credit for where they succeed.

That said, this is just my opinion. I also understand that the 'jrpg-bit' is just -his- opinion. Opinions opinions. Ya know?

yeah,I watch to laugh.I don't even care about half of the games he reviews, before or after.he is my dose of hate filled humor.if you actually take someone leses opinion completely to heart,or want someone to do it so you will, then you need to just shut up and laugh.the point is entertainment, and he covers that factor quite wll.

so I repeat myself:Shut up and laugh

I wonder how many people who hate/dislike Yahtzee are among those who had their favourite game slaughtered like a lamb. And maybe not even that, maybe he said one thing that you didnt disagree with and you hated him for it. *cough* Brawl review

I guess by saying that nothing he says is true is saying that...

Sonic Unleashed was amazing
The males in JRPGs dont look like girls
Halo is a remarkable, innovative game
I aggree. Halo 3 was a game slaughtered by Yahtzee for it's poor campain but I personally enjoyed the campain more than the multi-player experiance, although I do shun all living creatures... except my adorable little doggie.

He's just a reviewer. If I like the game that he dislikes, I don't really care enough to disagree with him. I just watch and laugh at his references and analogy.

I don't think the things he dislikes are as bad as he makes out, but when he praises something the praise is generally well deserved. Saints Row 2 for example. Absolutely solid.

This is where I disagree with alot of people: Half Life isn't the godly, monolithic series of awsomeness everyone seems to think it is. It's good, but just that, good, not great. I also found the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time games boring. Oh and Halo (CE at least) only appears generic because many shooters take after it nowadays, it set the standard that most games adhere to far too rigidly.

He's a reviewer, I agree on some points, disagree on some points, but sometimes I feel he nitpicks a tad too much. Doesn't matter though, I usually listen to him for the comical aspect, although he sometimes has some pretty good points.

That's my personal opinion anyway.

I disagree with his views on Devil May Cry 4, well the bad views where he doesn't like the cut scenes. I like them, pretty fun to watch too.

Story is pretty much ALWAYS ripped on no matter what game it is. Mass Effect and Assassin Creed comes up to mind. I just don't get why he sees them THAT bad. Specially Assassin Creed where he thought the ending was complete shit. What is his view on a GOOD story anyway? :/

Don't recall him calling any game story good except Psychonauts.

He also complain about the vehicle in Crysis yet doesn't mention how stale they are in Far Cry 2. Crysis vehicle section was actually pretty good. Vehicles handled smooth and certainly wasn't as weak as he claim. The gunship you use in the end is certainly not hard to use either.

In some games where he claim he run over medkits/ammo/money like all the time makes me wonder if he actually played on Easy. This is Dead Space and BioShock. I played on Medium on both games and I'm saving my ammo in a good way. I still ran out of it. Dead Space being prime example, at one time I didn't have any medkits left and very little ammo left. Luckily the doors wasn't shut in that time so I could run past the weaker monsters.

He's still fun to watch and from time to time he hit the spot on things.

Can Yahtzee have his own board on the forums?

I am fucking sick of every other new thread being about him.

Yeah he's funny... hahahaha.

Not a god, just an amusing and angry man, I like his reviews for a laugh but seriously some people need to crawl out of his ass.

Usually they're accurate but i really like JRPGs and he was way too harsh on Valkyria Chronicles. it's easily one of the best games on the PS3

Nobody seems to notice that he bitches about Halo's "bright" style then Killzone and GOW's "dull" style, he isn't doing it to be poignant, he is doing it to find things to rip on to make you laugh.
He's done worse. His Halo Wars review contains him complaining about how all he had to do was create a bunch of tanks and roll over the map, then complaining when it didn't work very well (Seriously, moving 10 tanks through a small area is not supposed to be easy. It's called a bottleneck. It's a disadvantage of the unit).

Sadly, some people seem to think that bashing games that he only plays an hour of makes him more honest that reviewers who are a little to kind to games that they've actually finished.

Eh... no.

Yahtzee's really only repeating typical forum fodder in a clever way.

I don't really have a problem with Yahtzee. It's not his fault that his most loyal supporters need to anoint him to a God-like mythic status and hail him as some sort of prophet. If anyone were to ask whether or not he's helping the quality of games and game criticism, developers and publishers now consider it a honor to be dinged by Yahtzee similar to the way musicians enjoy a parody from Weird Al. So they aren't paying so much to his criticism, but simply laughing along with the jokes.
