I usually go to metacritic for the positive aspects, and listen to Yahtzee for the negative aspects. Then I try to figure out how much the negative aspects would bother me personally when compared to the positive aspects.

I'll usually research it on my own. Irregardless of what I've heard people say about it I won't buy a game until I've checked out a gameplay video, one done by an average joe not the game's developer. If the game is a sequel I'll usually see how its changed too.

Here, gamefaqs, metacritic, the spoony experiment (when he does his serious vlogs not the entertainment reviews, though he is more of a critic than a reviewer)

Classic Game Room. Very entertaining reviews(so entertaining I actually watch reviews of wires, bottle openers, etc.), a lot of the time gives good information.

For information on games that youtube channel doesn't have, I might sometimes check IGN for a quick rating. I don't care for the number scoring system for games, but if it gets a 1, I might want to be cautious.

Metacritic and GameRankings, and then read, read, read, read, read. Also, I'll just search YouTube.
