I'm gonna get death threats for saying this but mostly from itunes and the rare CD I either get at a shop or send away for from Nox Arcana. The Nox cd's are generally the only one's I really buy a physical copy of anymore.

iTunes. Hardcopy albums always come with too much extraneous crap I either don't want or already own.

CDs, so I can rip them in FLAC. The quality of music from iTunes is something I abhor. If I'm paying for it, I want it in a lossless file format.

Yep, I'm an elitist audiophile bastard.

When I buy CDs, I usually have to do it online since most music stores (especially where I live) don't stock exactly what I'm looking for. And no, I'm not a hipster.

I go to F.Y.E, Best Buy, or Amazon. I like the feel of actually having CDs in my hands. I've bought around 30 Cds over the summer, and I'm not going to stop. I might be addicted to it.

ITunes these days, I very rarely buy an album, since I find they are full of to many songs I don't like.

Thank you!! I rip my CDs in 320 Kbps under the Lame Encoder. The file size is great and so is the quality.

Oh, so you have ears too? Good to know!

If I was to invent a music distribution service, I'd have it available in many different file formats, ranging from really low quality MP3 (for people who just want lots of music on their iPods or whatever) to FLAC, for the people who want to listen to their music in style!

Tend to buy the CD at amazon. I kinda like owning the cd myself. Plus after a couple of months, it's always cheaper to buy the cd, rather than pay full prices on itunes or any other download site.

When I want to listen to music, I just go to LastFM or Youtube. I cannot be trusted with something as delicate & small as an mp3 player.

Grooveshark for new music, and I use iTunes to store the CDs that my dad has collected over the years.

I didn't think anybody else actually cared about their music quality.

Not many do. Certainly not enough. When my friends try my headphone setup with some lossless files, they're always amazed at how good it is. I think it's lack of exposure that's the problem with it. Most people don't care until they've heard something better... that's how it was for me.

Although one of my friends is completely useless and can't tell the difference between 64kbps MP3 and FLAC on the same song with the same setup. I'm 25% deaf and FLAC is awesome if the song's recorded properly.

The Zune marketplace. I pay fifteen dollars a month for a subscription. It's a great deal. I do buy CDs though. I like having a physical copy, plus I'm something of an audiophile and I adore having my favorite music in lossless quality.
