Have you ever played a game way after its release date only to realize how awesome it was? If so which game was it?

Me:
I remember playing Phoenix Wright maybe two years after it came out and afterwards wanting to build a time machine so I could go back in time and punch myself in the face for not playing this sooner.

I recently purchased The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Game of the Year edition. Dang, that game is really good. Just as good as Morrowind so far.

I only just got Assassin's Creed 2 this summer. I was about an hour into it when I paused the game so that I could slap myself for not getting it sooner.

Final Fantasy VI, I wanna go back in time and tell my baby self to frigging play that. Also, I thougt Fallout 3 looked gay as hell at first. Then my friend told me how many side-quests it had...

I love Star Wars games, my favorite is KOTOR, when i first got it I played it non-stop for weeks.
