Where in the world is TES 5?

Its been about four years since the release of an Elder Scrolls game. Bethesda has developed only one game (according to wikipedia, correct me if I'm wrong) between then and now, which was Fallout 3. Unless Bethesda is doing an underground development by dropping us little hints now and then while they are polishing up the game, where exactly is it?

Maybe they're off in their secret labs, taking old copies of Morrowind, grinding them up into a powder, and making their programers snort it for inspiration to make the next elder scrolls the most magical adventure ever conceived?

To be honest, I don't care about Fallout.

I would easily sacrifice New Vegas for a new Elder Scrolls.

As for Bethesda - they've also worked on Fallout 3 DLC, but that still dosen't excuses them. Oh wait, i totally forgot! They're also doing Fallout New Vegas! Oh wait again, Fallout New Vegas is being made by Obsidian, soooo... yeah.

I've heard that it's a company called "Obsidian" that's making New Vegas. I've heard that's a bad thing. I have no opinion on it myself though, just thought I'd mention it.

I see where you're coming from when you say they could be hard at work on New Vegas, but from what I've heard so far, Obsidian Entertainment is going to be the lead developer.

Maybe New Vegas wont be such a big project with Obsidian leading the way, maybe not. So we wait.

Im really wanna know where it is too. My friend said that he heard somewhere that it takes places back on Vvardenfell 100 years after the events of Morrowind and that gunpowder got discovered. It probably all bullshit though

Havent you heard? Theyre making a cross between the elder scrolls and fallout. Yup FallOut New Vegas includes a dimension ripping machine were your protagonist from Oblivion joins your Vault 101 character and they team up to stop the Enclave Daedra.

It's not that Fallout was a bad game, its just that to me it was WAAAY too slow and the landscape/exploring was all exactly the same.

I agree, Fallout can be a little slow at some times, but it gives you little bits and pieces that are good enough to keep you happy. I would also give up any new Fallout for TES 5 any day.

That was the thing I found to be most intolerable about Fallout; everything looked exactly the same. No variety whatsoever.

I don't know what the fuck reviewers were thinking when they bitched about Oblivion's "too similar and unvaried landscape" while they praised Fallout 3's "variety in the world"

Dude, especially if it had online coop, that would be sick. Sick as in the Oblivion guy would rip everything to shreds in Fallout. Especially if they had duped those arrows from the dark brotherhood that one shot; or the daedric immolation ones. Or spells... and especially 100+% chameleon armor.

maybe your friend got the titles mixed. As stupid as that sounds.

But it would certainly make things different, and I wonder if it would continue t he trend that if there are guns added to an already estrablished game, quality tanks.

Indeed. THen again they have confirmed, denied, and been noncomittal about a 5th non-MMORPG all at once, so I dont know what's going on.

Oh yeah, this is SUCH a critical issue at this time! I mean, god forbid we allow a company to get away with not milking a series for a fifth installment!

Sarcasm aside, why are you so desperate for yet ANOTHER sequel? I'd rather see an all-new IP than Oblivion warmed-over again. If you want more Elder Scrolls, just look for some more mods or something.
