So I've been looking for a game to amuse myself but I can't seem to find a game that holds my interest.

I already have the Orange Box set, Bioshock, Devil May Cry 4 and Dead Rising.
Tried Dead Space but although it was all right it just doesn't get my interest.
Last game I really enjoyed playing and had the "Oh shit is 4 am already!" effect was the
Penny-Arcade episodes.

So my question is, is there any recent game out there which is similar to Okami or maybe a good J-RPG?

Well, if you mean similar in that it had a unique art style, pick up No More Heroes.

That was one of the best games I've played. Period.
