(b) it's revealed that there was yet another clone of Big Boss, who just happens to look identical to Solid Snake. Don't tell me Konami wouldn't try this; you know they would.
Ugh. I want to say that they wouldn't stoop that low, but, let's face it; the Liqiud Ocelot thing was even worse.
How?

OH wait, you never played MGS4 and still think he was controlled Via his arm? HAHAHAHAH
To be fair, the explanation they give for that is stupider than the original idea.
Pretty much this.
What was retarded about it? It makes more sense than Liquids ghost controlling him.

They already are working on MGS: next. or that is the title they bought for their unnoficial new game.

And also dont forget that cryptic message on their website.

I would love to play as raiden though. Seeing him do backflips would be insane.

I want "Solid" to be done with and then see a reboot. Yeah, I want to play a new MGS and I'm sucker for Snake's rugged handsomeness (in a non-sexual way), but I don't want it anywhere near the storyline of the Solid series. In fact, seeing how Bond was partly an inspiration for the franchise, go with standalone releases every x years, with loose continuity. Fun stuff.

And while you're at it, rid the series of all the "western elements" BS that MGS4 brought along in the gameplay to appeal to westerners. Stealth > Combat. Oh and "Circle" is accept, "X" is cancel. Not the other way around. Period.

To be honest it was great where they left it. I'd have to say though I'd like to see a video game about Eva, she was a very strong female character even if she overused her female charms.

Hopefully he lets it go.
I'd really hate for metal gear to become what Sonic is now.

MGS should go in the bin.

Let's have a new story, new characters, and new plot.

New gameplay is optional. I wouldn't mind if it adheres to the formula that's proven to work so well by now as long as they don't try to tie the game onto the others...

... Or how about a big-budget current-gen Boktai game for the console? It'd be like a spiritual successor to MGS. With vampires.

EDIT: Or, since Snake is a cloned mercenary, why not base a game around another copy of him? He'd look the same, and act mostly the same, but be able to have a storyline entirely seperated from the original series. And David Hayter would get more work, which sounds like a good thing in my book.

EDIT2: Or they could focus on the movie... live-action MGS would be pretty sweet.

MGS has only one place to go... THE GRAVE! seriously, right about the time they approved MGS4 someone should have said something along the lines of... oh I dunno STOP!

I hope the next big project from the MGS team will look as much like Metal Gear as Assassin's Creed looked like Prince of Persia: you feel it's the same developer, but you get something very different.
And they'll have an excuse to throw the lengthy cutscenes out of the airlock (because we're still going into deep space, right? Please?)

Talking space...Metal Gear without gravity. Hide and seek to a new dimension!
