Where should the next assassin's creed take place?

I gave a little thought the other day about where and when would be a cool place for Assassin's Creed 3 to take place if they didn't go straight to Desmond's time?

I was thinking London in the 1700s. Lots of scenic buildings and historic locations to climb on

What do you guys think? Where and When should Assassin's Creed 3 take place?

Well has Yahtzee said in his review of Brotherhood, now is probably time for the inevitable game based around Desmond. So itll probably happen in 2012.

Or Ubisoft could throw a curve ball and give Desmond a miss for another game. I hope so.

Well Brotherhood kinda sets up another sequel before the inevitable full game as Desmond.
There's no reason Desmond's Arc can't end and we still can't play in another time period.

As for the actual time period, I can't say what would make a good one. Continuing the trend of rarely visited times and locales I guess that'd put WWII out of the question, but beyond that I still can't say.

I think they need one more before 2012, possibly around the industrial revolution, I can see industrial London providing some pretty decent inspiration. plus you know a leap of faith from the top of big ben would be awesome.

Brotherhood already strongly hinted it's taking place during the Frenh Revolution n that's the only time those two symbols appear together. There were other hints as well. Looks like you might be playing as or fighting musketeers.

I'm thinking that it will be 50/50 between Desmonds time and whatever time period they choose. They should set it in feudal Japan, they've made a bunch of hints about subject 17 and Desmond having a common ancestor and 17 used the Animus to become a samurai. I also agree that England would be fun to explore.

well other than Desmond i think maybe Rome would be a good time to do some assassination, yeah i know a long time in the past but it has a big history of assassinations so it would fit the kind of game.

Victorian London. Smokey, dirty, full of crime and horror. Think about it, couldn't you build a whole plot out of Jack the Ripper alone? Best of all, not enough guns to ruin the game in the way a WWII-era one would.

a couple of men's voices are heard urgently trying to get Desmond back into an Animus before he goes into shock. Are they Templars or the other Assassins? It certainly wasn't Shaun and Rebecca.

I think that since Desmonds part takes place in the future, the next one should be in the present day.

If they wait another 2 years to release the next game, Desmond will be the present.

I think feudal Japan would be awesome but it seems way unreasonable for Desmond to be related to someone in Japan when his relatives lived in Europe and the Middle East.

Despite Ubisoft releasing that AC3 will introduce a new protagonist, it's about time Desmond should be the where it takes place. That's my vote.
