I thinking more of late 19th century/early 20th century America. (about 1880-1910)

Lots of Italians immigrated to the U.S. at the time and they were getting a buncha shit for it. This was also a time of much corruption/violence especially with labor unions and workers' strikes. I really could see it work since AC is such a OMGCONSPIRACY type of game.

On the other hand, I really don't see how people can say Japan. That doesn't even make sense. Desmond doesn't even look remotely asian. Whaaat.

edit: Actually, I really like the French revolution idea. Though I would go insane after hearing French accents for about 20 hours. I mean, I LIKED Italian accents until I played ACII. I don't even remotely have a soft spot for French accents...

C'mon, where's the French Revolution? I want to help kill Maximillian Robespierre and end the reign of terror.

As long is there is an AC3, I don't particularly care where it is. As long as I have the hidden blade, I'm happy.

Ezio spends two games trying to kill the pope (and his entire family) and then his kids become jesuits? I think not XD
of course there could be other reasons, like.... they were posing as merchants. but that's not really the point, they can always come up with a story. as for the names... it's not so much the pronouncability, but more the fact that I can't ever get the straight of it. if there's a bunch of japanese names, I never know what's what. and i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one. and yes, of course it's most asian names, but we were talking about japan. I know everyone loves it because of the anime and everyone loves games about feudal japan since yathzee mentioned it in his zelda review, but I just can't get into it. sorry.
also, how would they blend in? Italians and japanese don't look alike... kinda sticks out when you're a head taller than the crowd you're trying to hide in XD
I never watch anime and I don't care what Yahtzee said(I don't even remember what he said), I've been interested in Feudal Japan for a while, and I just thought an AC game would be interesting if it were set there, plus I'm fine with names so it wouldn't bother me.

The French Revolution.

It will be awesome, and filled with plenty of opportunities for violence.

The problem I see is that they cant go back in time without taking away certain weapons and upgrades (basically anything you got from Leonardo)and I don't think that would be the right way to move the series forward.
However Victorian London does sound intriguing.
As long as it doesn't become a shooter set in WW1 or WW2 we have enough of those.

Early 20th century Hong Kong would be fucking sick as hell. Or maybe Moscow during the mid 20th century at the height of the USSR. That would be bad ass to be a KGB agent.
