Monster Musume hasn't been released domestically in North America yet and I don't know about imports.

I generally go for rightstuf.com for the deals.

Isn't the first season still airing? Isn't it a little early for a DVD release?

The show has been licences by Sentai Filmworks. Weather or not they'll dub it is up in the air (they aren't like Funimation where it's a sure thing) but what is is the fact that there won't be a release until some time in 2016 due to the fact that the releases outside of Japan are always, without fail, months or even years after the Japanese release. With the show only being 8 episodes in for its 12 episode run there's nothing out on the market at the moment. You'll have to keep an eye on Sentai's website for the release.

Or you could use Ebay, but they are 100% either bootlegs or the Japanese version which has no English anything and, if it's the DVDs (but not Blu Ray) is incompatible with your player.

Sorry buddy, I know the feeling you're going through, but it isn't coming out for some time. One must learn patience when they are a lover of the Eastern Animation medium.

I don't watch it, but Crunchyroll advertises it a lot, and it looks like the first season hasn't finished up. So it's highly unlikely that the DVD release will be licensed in the US until they have a full season to release with a dub.

Sentai Filmworks has already licenced its distribution, though like I already posted it's unlikely it'll be released until 2016 given the delay anime that isn't movies almost always has for English releases.

Do you have a Japanese region DVD player? Because if you don't, you may as well just push the thought out of your mind. The series is still airing in Japan on TV. It's not even complete yet. After it is, then it will be released in Japan first on DVD. After that, the rights, voice actor contracts, and even the dubbing needs to be done. At the earliest, you're probably waiting until the late end of first quarter of 2016. And that's been generous.

As for the second question, I buy my anime from Amazon. I used to buy it from Best Buy, but then Best Buy decided anime wasn't worth it. So they cut the section down from a whole aisle to half an aisle. Then they cut that half in half. Then it was just two shelves. Now, if they stopped the spacing trick they use, I'd be lucky if there was one full row at my Best Buy. So Amazon it is.

I'm sure Funi will pick it up eventually, given its buzz, but sadly you probably still have months to wait for any sort of official release. :/

I miss the good ole days of the anime boom, when there were actually multiple companies competing, and the american appetite for new series seemed endless... it was only a couple years, but they were good ones.

Sentai Filmworks has already beat Funimation to the punch.

Also, there are 17 companies in North America which dub and distribute anime (not including Crunchyroll or Hulu), Funimation just happens to be the biggest one.
