So I have only recently started using the Forums on the Escapist, I was mostly on Ultimate-Guitar before but over the last 2 days I have noticed myself preferring the community here and checking out more articles and such than I did on UG. I believe the Escapist may become my new main forum.

So what Forum were you part of before the Escapist? What drew you here? If this is your first forum what made you want to sign up?

I was no where, I was simply drifting through the internet without guidance.

Well, when I first entered the internet, it was through Bungie.net

While there I turned into a shallow troll, and if you've seen Bungie's forums you'd know how bad it is. It's always been that bad.

After Bungie.net I moved to YTMND. There I had much fun, and did things I'd rather not do ever again.

After YTMND I moved to the official Bethesda forums. I got there during my search for Oblivion mods. The community there is actually really nice, full of great people, and just awesome. After that I came here.

So yeah, thats my internet history.

Overclock.net, and I'm still there, pretty much.

Though I'm enjoying myself a lot less these days.

The WoW OT.

Basically the /b/ of the WoW forums.

I'm known as "Ëx" on there. Yes, with the umlaut.

And once the week-long suspension wears off, I'll be back there. :)

I messed about mainly with the Steam community, but they aren't very close or personal.

I like it here. It's cozy.

The Film Cow Forums. [http://www.filmcow.net/forums/] I was pretty well known and active there (I was the 44th member to ever sign up and now there are 3,000+ members) and then I decided to be a massive troll. Mostly out of anger for the other trolls there so I was being a counter-troll but ended up getting permanently banned before I came back half a year later, stayed for even longer, and eventually everyone forgot what I did and didn't really mention it anymore... and then I trolled again and got banned again. I really didn't go anywhere for a while... I posted a couple of times on the Pure Pwnage forums but I didn't really care for it that much. Then I was linked to the Escapist from the parody of Zero Punctuation and I'm here forever.

EDIT: That's just part of the story... if I told you the whole thing from the very beginning it would be a lot longer and a lot more boring.

This is my first forum. I joined (initially) because of Zero Punctuation but became an active member when I finally decided to explore the forums. I like it here and I like the community. I might stay awhile :D

I've been all over this *****. From insidetheweb.com, a website that hosted thousands of user made and administrated message boards in 1996, to uostratics, to soe planetside, to mmorpg.com, anandtech, toms hardware, to a slew of others dedicated to things that prolly shouldn't be discussed here. VEF and FP, two of my favs. :)

Enjoy the wild west of the web while it lasts.
