I was a pessimistic wannabe-Nihilistic douchebag who thought he knew everything and was better than everybody else just because he could quote Nietzsche. I'm pretty sure a lot of people hated me, too.

I'm a lot different now, though. For one I'd say I've turned into a person that's actually pleasant to be around. Plus I found my two best friends last year so that's pretty cool. :D

[sub]The only things I knew were "don't look long into the abyss or the abyss will look into you" and "God is dead"[/sub]

I was at a local gig, and we all got so high that we ended up going back to my house and building a duplo train set around ourselves in the living room and putting an electric train on it. That was to celebrate some exam results I think.

I sort of prefer where I am now...

Let's see. 21 years old, depressed, coming out of a break-up from a three year relationship with a girl I still loved far past that point. Excelling at the job I did in the summer (despite hating it), just like in all the other jobs I've done. Two middle-aged work friends from the previous work place had died some months ago. I screwed a hot, fit 32-year-old for a week a month or two before it...

I'm in a better place right now. Considerably more wise, intelligent and experienced. Frankly, all I need is some money, a girlfriend & more self discipline to finally quit smoking.

Two months away from entering the hardest, most dangerous and painful year of my life thus far. Things were not good then, but they were on the very edge of going to hell in a hand basket.

Well I joined the Escapist 3 years ago as a 14 year old kid going into his sophomore year in highschool.... Yeah lets pointedly ignore that and go to where I am now! (way more fun trust me)

Now I'm a highschool graduate going to my number 1 pick of college with just about everything going right. I've even started talking to lots of people. I'm basically disgustingly happy lol :p

Three years ago? Three years ago I would've been making preparations to go back to college to take multimedia.

3 years ago I had just discovered the concept of internet forums. And I was pretty much a typical noob.

Graduated high school afew months before and was probably sitting on my butt playing WoW. Something I regret with the economy collapsing. Wish I didn't take a year off.

Three years ago I think I was just finished my first year in university. It was a terrible year but things started picking up during the summer and I transferred to a different college so I soon returned to being awesome.

Three years ago, hm? Just starting my sophomore year in highschool, and back then I still thought highschool taught you something useful! Silly me.[footnote]And by useful I mean things that would help you get a job and become smarter. Then I realized I would never use most of what I was learning, and that half of my teachers were horrible at their job. The only teacher that was most respected died halfway through the year, as soon as my class with him started. That was the end of my giving a fuck about grades.[/footnote] Now I'm starting college, with a new laptop (thank fuck. The family computer was 7 years old.), no parents around, and a floor full of friendly people. Not to mention I don't have to pay for my meals. Things are looking up.

Let me think....

I was lurking here a lot and working my ass off at this theatre that I was practically making next to no money while working a steady job else where.

Still the same I suppose, just not doing too many theatre stuff since I need sleep.

Same place I am now, very similar to the place I was 3 years before that too...except now the government gives me my poison of choice legally so that's a step forwards I suppose.

Damn! 8 days off exactly three years on this site

I was an ignorant child who had a case of pessimism and depression tagged along with shyness, luckily i grew out of that besides the random mood swings, damn hormones get me every time.

This time in 2009?[footnote]Hee hee. A rhyme... Goddamnit. I did it again.[/footnote] Recently left school, I think. Preparing for a programming course for 2010. I also discovered the wonderous and fabulous language of German then too. 3 years later, mostly competent. ^.^
Didn't join the Escapist until August of 2010 though. Shortly after the live showing of the Unskippable Let's Play
