When they do make Fallout 4, I really hope that they continue the idea that the world is slowly getting better. That's what I loved about Fallout New Vegas over 3. It was a world half full, not half empty. Sure it was cynical, bitter, and depressing, but in the end, it was positive. Things will change, one way or another, but they are getting better.
It isn't a grimdark uber depressing setting, but one where progress plays a huge role. If they go back to a bunch of new territories and settlements, that's fine, but as long as they show that things are changing for the better, I will be very satisfied.
