Why has nobody said the Moon yet? Or Mars? Wait... EDF... let's go with the moon. I mean have you seen those photos of the Earth on the horizon? Who wouldn't want that view every day?! Also you loose weight just by living there and you can jump over your own house!

If constrained to Earth: I'd have to say something like the castle from the second Matrix film. Comfy living; nice cool, clean air, fantastic views (I'm seeing a pattern here); and a HUGE house.

If constrained to soemthing likely: a rural house with lots of land, land which nobody would mind me making into the most awsome Airsoft/Paintball playfield in Britian.

Lunar Colony. Oh, someone beat me to it. But yes, a lunar colony. I'd like to be a hydroponics specialist in a lunar colony.

On this planet? Canadian woodlands, closer to East Coast. In my very own small wooden house with my very own gargantuan underground base beneath it. Or maybe North Carolina, with it's conspicuous concentration of pure awesome.

But you know what? I'd rather be researching faraway planets.

Australia, oh wait i already do, yeah i like it here.
Really? I'm finding it hell recently. But I tend to look at the news a lot so maybe I'm overthinking about it:

Article 1: Young child was stabbed
Article 2: Man was stabbed on the way to car
Article 3: Family was killed by a bucher
Article 4: Drunk driver stabs his dog (you get where I'm going)

I dunno why but lately I've been finding Australia (Melbourne in particular) a major stab fest.

Is it a bad sign that the first place I thought about was Rapture from bioshock? (I am ignoring bioshock 2)

Failing that Ireland. I have a thing for green landscape. Currently live in Arizona and I am constantly trying to come up with new words for brown.

Well, my next stop is British Columbia once I move from Saskatoon. I still haven't decided on the city. Vancouver, maybe? Victoria? Kamloops? Maybe a smaller town like Abbotsford...

As for where I want to live for the rest of my life? Hell if I know!

B.C. (British Columbia), or somewhere in Ontario. Right now I live in Michigan.
Hint: do NOT move to Windsor, Ontario, the town just across the river from Detroit. Take it from a former resident, that town is ass!

Alaska. Although I should know I better live as far south as possible, the winters are going to be brutal.

I'll try and remember that, I'd like to live a little further into Ontario then that, like 45 min or an hour further into Ontario, idk or in Toronto.

First pick?

I'd live in SPAAACCCEEE!!! Take a vacation on the Moon, help colonize Mars, eventually move on to the greener pastures of the asteroid belt if Mars starts getting a little too 'cosmopolitan' for my tastes, and (assuming really good life extension technology has become available) finally volunteer for the first manned interstellar mission to Alpha Centauri.

Tau Ceti would be okay also.

Second pick?

A razor-wire fenced compound in the mountains of Montana or the like.

Failing that?

Australia, probably in the Pilbara region or somewhere equally desolate (And unpopulated!) where I'd build a mostly underground/earth-sheltered home and pretend I'm a Tatooine moisture farmer. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atmospheric_water_generator]
