It's an old piece by Jennifer Miller. I love gryphons and she's puts out some beautiful pieces, so, therefore... Avatar!

I too love the show and shamelessly copied your idea to have a gif from it as an avatar. I don't know how you managed to get your avatar so big though.

Mine is the Plague Witch from Magic: The Gathering. No real personal meaning behind it, and the card itself isn't even all that powerful; I just really liked the artwork. I made this avatar aaaaaages ago by scanning in the card and cropping it, and I've just sort of been using it in a bunch of places ever since then, because why the hell not. :)

Oh, man, my stepdad used to play Magic and that one card is the one that I can remember vividly, because I was confused by the quote

My avatar is a representation of my username. It is no one. Just an unknown man in a tux that is holding an umbrella. I was debating on whether to make the hands transparent, but I thought it might be a bit odd since they are holding the umbrella. Not sure what else to add, but I would answer any questions you guys might have to the best of my ability.

Kenzo Tenma from the 2004 anime Monster, the most recent that I've watched.

A brilliant neurosurgeon who's life is turned upside down after being falsely accused of murder, watching his journey throughout the 74 episodes was thrilling and also emotionally painful to watch. An unforgettable series.

My avatar is the face of one Otto von Bismark, the man who set two world wars in motion and shaped European and world history as we know it today.

I made my avatar, I'm a sort of cartoonist? Comicbook artist? No idea what exactly to call me.

It's Boris Johnson, greatest and silliest modern politician. His antics are all that keep most Brits from living all their days in the grey fog of depression.

In brief: He's a Conservative politician and incumbent Mayor of London. He's known for his wild hair (although some here have confused it for Donald Trump's hair - the truth is they loan it to each other for photo shoots), his bumbling speech and his global itinerary of apology. As a Tory, I'm opposed to him politically but he's actually totally awesome really. He hides a particularly keen mind and savvy senses behind a massive facade of utter stupidity, he has an incredible amount of popularity and isn't afraid to let his views change over time. He's patriotic in that really stereotypically English classical patriotic way - i.e. flag-waving, happy to buy British over buying foreign goods - but without all of the bigotry attached to it.

He's alright.

One is the Warhammer 40000 Aquila.

The other is the cog Mechanicum, also of Wahammer 40000

I needed an avatar that I could use for forums and stuff a few years ago, wanted something actually unique but have no artistic talent.

So I did a pixel doodle in paint. And I like it a lot.

Use it all the time now.

Basically, what I did was I resized it down from a bigger version of the gif to just fit in the avatar specifications (85x85 since I'm a non Pub Clubber)

Ah, I didn't realize that I could go up to 85. Thank you!
