I like wolves, so my name is always a variation of it. In a lot of places I uses the prefix Lin because I like the look of Linwolf.

At the moment of making my username I was lamenting the fact that I didn't finish Metroid Prime.
The reason I didn't Finish Metroid Prime is because I was scared to face the Omega Pirate. So that's the reason for my username.

My username comes from Viittaperkele. Viittaperkele -> Verpele -> Verp.

What Viittaperkele actually is... First of all, it's Finnish. Viitta = cape and perkele = devil/Satan (in this context). It was what I was called when I started sporting a relatively long, black coat. Unfortunately, it was also when The Matrix boom was at its worst, so my friends teased me about it, calling me what they called goths and Matrix nuts with long black coats: wannabe devils with capes.

It just stuck, I guess. I started using it and variations of it as a username on several web pages.

I listened to a certain song.

Oh, that shark has pretty teeth, Dear
And he shows them pearly white.
Just a jacknife, has Macheath, dear
And he keeps it, way outta sight.

I like Frank Sinatra.
hahaha and i guess Sinatra likes Bertolt Brecht :p
Its also from an opera those name I forget; the Macheath in that is just a thief. The one I got the name from was a murderer, rapist, arsonist and thief.

Not that it means anything, I just like the name Mack. XD
The threepenny opera is just called like that, its more a musical theatre play. (yes there is a difference)

I was playing Final Fantasy 6 at the time I made mine and Kefka is awesome.

I kinda wish I could change it but I used my 1 username change because of a spelling error in Cultist

My one before I changed it was Khaiseri, which is a two-letter modified word of the German word kaiser, which apparently is "general" (not sure if this is true, I am not German and I don't know German). I'm not sure why I decided to choose that one, but it was the first one that came through my mind in my gaming-obsessed years.

One week ago I changed it to Blue Musician. Reasons are that I nearly always feel blue and Blue is my favorite color. Musician, well, I'm obviously one. So that's why. I felt more distant to my original username as I started to find gaming not fun at all, and since I love music more than gaming, do not want to be a general but a musician, I guess a change needed to be made.

On YouTube it's Tyrhandrer. Tyr for the norse god of single combat since I'm from Nordic descend. I wanted to put hammer, giving Tyrhammer, but somehow I didn't like it. So I changed to hand. Tyrhand, then I added rer, so it was Tyrhandrer.

Well about 5 years ago I choose it for my first Guild Wars character and it just stuck with me since then, haven't used anything else apart from various variations.

Nothing original. Used to use various incarnations of Sniper Elite in games, then played Toribash. It had a 10-character limit for online names, hence the melding to produce SnipErlite

"Snuffles" came from a character I played in a small class drama piece, and it sounded good as a Team Fortress 2 name. However, as time went on, my commanding officer called me into his room, and on the table lay two leutennent(?) stripes.

Verbose rant ahead: My username is a bit of misnomer. An ostrich is a creature known to be increadibly thick, so I'm not indicating the creature itself is omniscient but rather implying encompassing onlookers have erroneously labelled it as such (lets say ostriches can talk for the sake of this rant). It's a jab at those who see profundity in simplistic, vague or otherwise arbritiry writing/logic. I kind of developed this attitude while studying English at school, especially when looking at poetry where every word would have to be meticulously analysed for some kind of deeper meaning. It wasn't that I felt the authors were inarticulate (not all of them anyway), but I just felt things were getting a bit ridiculous when we were looking at the significence of words that were clearly only used as connectives. I'm also rather fond of alliteration.
