Mine's not really all that clever.

I just took the name of one of my favourite anime characters and used his ranking number to seperate his name from a japanese honorific.

I use this on all my accounts (this, youtube, psn, etc.) to see how many times I will be seen by a person named Kevin.

I got mine from the late great Don Van Vliet (Captain Beefheart) From the song Neon Meate Dream of Octafish on Trout Mask Replica. I've used a octafish or neon_meate as a username since '96 or so. Briefly before that I was Greatsageequalofheaven, and on GFWL I'm March Hare as in Big Bopper, March Hare, Gosling One, and Max.

I got mine from Clannad, which is my favorite anime.
Mind telling me what your original name was from since I remember it?

It's kind of embarrassing, but here's the story:

Back when I was 10, I plated Rome: Total War for the first time. I chose to play as the Britannians, and a few years into a war with the Germanians, a general named "Sennianus" came of age. I immediately deployed him and a small arm to attack the closest Germanian town, which he (well technically I, since I as controlling him) won easily. With Sennianus I won "heroic victory" after "heroic victory" in my campaigns against the Gauls and Germanians, and he became my best general and was known as "Sennianus the Great". He was my best general and I kept going with him to lead my men into "heroic victories" until he died at age 60.

A few weeks later I needed to come up for a username for Runescape, and misspelled "Sennianus" as "Sennius", and I kinda just went with Sennius ever since.

I got my username from the Death Note anime that I was watching at the time I joined. It's the code name that L uses on a number of occasions. I now use it as my standard username for most things.

I needed a name for a space game, fast. I came up with Tryhildor, which in time would be simplified to what I use today.

A fascinating tale, by all accounts.

I came across it one day, I have no idea where or when, but I though "I like it" and it's stuck. It's my name on every forum I'm on, my PSN and GT and other things on the internet.

I actually die a little inside if I sign up somewhere and it's already taken haha. There's one forum I've been on for 7 years an I wish I could use this name, but I can't :(

I used to be a huge comics-nut (after reading too many they all appear the same), but some of my favorite characters are still stuck in my head. One of them, the Human Torch.

I used to be really into Friedrich Nietzsche. I used Nietzsche as a my nickname when playing online. But after a while I just couldn't be bothered to type the damn thing,so it became Nietz.

I used to play Spore when it first came out. One of the first creations I made was called a "scorpatious". One day, I decided to sign myself onto Youtube so I can comment on videos. So I decided to use that as my username. However, I accidentally added a "t" between the "p" and "a".

Ever since than, I used this username for almost any forum I go to. Including here, on the Escapist.

Well about six years ago I played Runescape and there's a town called Falador so I named my WoW character Faladorian (he was a dwarf and there are lots of dwarves around Falador)And I've used the name for everything since.

People still ask me if I play Runescape, and don't believe me when I say I don't but... I've built a reputation as Faladorian that I'm opted to stick with.

I was a big fan of Sir Paul Harvey when i was younger and it just so happens to be my steam name so i though why not just keep it for all my online profiles. Not a lot of people know who he was though...

And now you know the rest of the story. ;)
