Timesplitters HD Collection...imagine...

We have a HD remake sorta in the works...that being TS: Rewind, which we got some screenshots from, today. Nothing too major, just some empty rooms from the Streets map made not-so empty. It has a mixed reception. Putting tables and chairs and green carpet in a room which used to be as cold and bricked as the map's outside area sounds harmless, but the majority sees it as action taken because it can rather than because it should.

I'm on the fence.

Final Fantasy XII... so very much. I love this game, and while the X/X-2 Remaster gives me hope I'm not holding my breath, I really want to see this get made, I would even pre-order it!

Others I would really like to see:

Mercenaries (the first one)
Mercenaries 2 is the best Mercenaries!!!

Back to the original question. I want a full remake of Final Fantasy VI. Yeah, VI, not VII, you heard right. Take the graphics that you see in XV, and now imagine Saben suplexing a damn train.

Yeah, you know you want to see it, too.

Alien: Resurrection

Until Isolation came along it was the best and easily scariest of the Alien tie in games. I want that feeling of killing a Xenomorph and breathing a sigh of relief, only for you to look at the ammo counter and realise you're down to ten rounds of Pulse Rifle and the emergency pistol.

Then the motion tracker pipes up.

Or the completely frantic hunt for an Auto-Medic, followed by the relief of finding one, followed by the abject horror of realising you blundered right into the middle of a hive to find it.

That feeling of being slow and vulnerable even with all the weapons at your disposal, with Isolation's graphics engine and particle physics it would be even more nerve shredding than it was a decade and a half ago.

Square Enix, what the bloody fuck were you doing with all that Dead Sun nonsense instead of giving me the HD collection of *real* Legacy of Kain games? Come on!

Unless they're going to do more to it than just add HD graphics, NOTHING.
I beg to differ, Ace Combats 4, 5 and 0 would be great with nothing more than a visual update. Though what I'd really love is Ace Combat 3, in HD, but the full Japanese version translated to English. The international release was a vastly inferior product, missing well over half the game.

Any of the good Star Trek games that Activision made back in the day. Like Eilte force or Armada for example. A Birth of the Federation re-release would be awesome to. The Starfleet command games to, though they are probably lost in the IP mess that is Interplay.

May God and all deities of varying faiths, dogmas, creeds, and religions have mercy upon your soul for such transgressions!

Mercenaries 2 came out cross-platform for Seventh Generation consoles (PS3 & XBOX 360) so it already is HD, the first one though would be nice!

Hmm... HD remake, sure, but can I get a Xenogears: Not Chopped Off at the Knees Edition?

I want an HD collection of the .hack games. Definitely the .hack games. Think about it: each of the two main series was each basically one uber-long game, with transferable saves from one to the next. Plus, the last installment of each is pretty hard to find, and a little on the expensive side. Putting the first four games, and then the G.U. trilogy, one one disc each as an HD collection just makes perfect sense, you know?

I'd really like to see the Metroid Prime series given a visual update and put on a system that allows me the option to use a standard controller again. Or the gamepad which is close enough to a standard controller (with a built-in map) Other than that trilogy, I'd like to see graphical updates of the first two Max Payne games, the two Knights of the Old Republic games, the Rouge Squadron series, Resident Evil 2 and 3 (kinda surprised this didn't happen after the gamecube remake of the first), Dino Crisis 1 & 2. As for full-on modern remakes because of how old some of these games are, games like Shadow Warrior and Duke Nukem 3D would probably need to be rebuilt from the ground up.

A few games come to mind for me. For western games, I really want a HD Dungeon Keeper, that would be amazing. And a HD TIE Fighter, but I've got Star Citizen coming to scratch that particular itch.

Then there are a few visual novels that are just horribly low res and hard to read through now which would really benefit from a HD upgrade. Tsukihime and Fate/Stay Night would be great in high res with nice readable text instead of the horrible, blocky, hard-to-read text they have now. Speaking of VNs and resolution, it's pretty annoying how even the most modern VNs only take up a postage-stamp-sized patch in the middle of the screen. 1080p has been a pretty common res for a long time now, VN studios really should start taking advantage of it.

The Thief series of games, because fuck that reboot, it was terrible.
Oh, and this. I would be so happy to get a HD Thief.

Conker's Bad Fur Day (N64 version is ideal, but Xbox version would work too), and that's my #1 pick. It's a colourful game with a lot of personality that most people can't play legitimately these days without spending a small fortune. It would be worth it just to get the game more accessible to modern platforms, though it's still a pretty enough game to be worth the extra coat of HD paint.

Ultima IV. The great granddaddy of all in-game morality systems, overcomplicated as its is. It's kind of funny to think with all the complaints about one and two dimensional morality systems, Ultima IV has eight.

Hm...only two games really come to mind for me.

Final Fantasy VII because I'm one of those people, and Final Fantasy VIII because that one is my favorite. Of course, both of those are probably not going to happen, but I can still hope.
I'm guessing an HD remake would be dependent on them having the original pre-rendered background data. Which I'm pretty sure they admitted they'd lost (surely they'd have made one by now otherwise, it'd be an easy job to just re-render and retexture the 3D parts.)

Assuming they've lost it an they'd have to rebuild it from the ground up, I'm guessing they'd just make the whole game as a 3rd person FF13/FF15 style in full 3D. I reckon if 15 is a big success, they might go for it!

XCOM : UFO Defense. The one from 1993. The new XCOM is nice and all, but a remake of the old one would be cool too.

Still waiting for my glorious Goldeneye remake, with online support and extra levels converted to multiplayer, split screen even over online play, and that holy grail of HD remake features- the button that instantly switches the graphics from the old to the new and back again. Why did you stop its release, Nintendo? Why??

Think I'd like to see a remake of the Predator Concrete jungle game, it certainly made you feel alot more like a Predator than the AvP games.

Other than that I guess I'd go for Destroy all Humans as well, maybe Shadow of Rome to.
