It was the fact that they were used time and again as cannon fodder to take down the toughest enemy strongholds with no acknowledgement of their efforts and sacrifices while the Imperial Fists swaggered around with clean shiny armour and perfumed hair with everyone singing their praises and admiring their fake tans and designer handbags....etherlance said:what was their reason again?Triangulon said:I have always been a staunch supporter of the Iron Warriors. Great backstory and a good niche too. Stuck with them through thick and thin. I could even paint them! I also liked the fact that they had a legitimate reason for loosing it and falling to chaos. I also made a kick ass vindicator/leman russ hybrid which suited them down to the ground.
Iron within. Iron without!
I remember all of the others just not them....
oh BTW i would side with the Necrons or the Tau simply because i collect an army of both of them.
Great book. One of my favourites of the black library. I keep hoping for a Horus Herasy Iron Warriors book.dalek sec said:I take it that you've read that Iron Warriors novel, "Storm of Iron" by McNeill?Triangulon said:I have always been a staunch supporter of the Iron Warriors. They didn't just want glory! Also recognition for the lives lost slumming it in the trenches while the Fists sat and polished their horrible yellow armourIwata said:Hm... what reason would that be, other than "No fair, the Imperial Fists get all the glory while we get none, boo-hoo"!Triangulon said:I have always been a staunch supporter of the Iron Warriors. The only guys with a valid reason to turn to Chaos are the Alpha Legion (destroy Chaos from within) and maybe the Thousand Sons (warn the Emperor of the Heresy while accidentaly destroying his way into the Eldar webway).

'Never rest until the last of the fallen is slain'
My tabletop army fought a shit load of chaos, never did find any fallen though
Try playing it now. 5th edition is all about the troops.Bradd94 said:Eldar.
While they're overlooked, or at least in this thread, I absolutely adore the Seer Council. They'd rip apart infantry.
Of course, W40k wasn't an infantry game, really. It was a vehicle one, and it made me sad to see such elite forces ripped apart by Land Raiders |:
