The Combine. Hell, even the advisors kick any kind of ass as long as they see you.

cookie up for grabs here
Ah yes, the super strong Alien species that live in fluid space and brought the Borg to their knees.

Anyway, I think the Sii-Ru (not 100% sure on the name), from Star Wars would fuck us up. They are essentially super smart raptors who harvest the souls of their enemies and use them as power for their ships and weaponry.

No thanks!

Frikkin' EVERYTHING from Warhammer: 40k. Seriously, I really can't imagine any way that can have a happy ending for humanity.
As a pretty liberally thinking person i think that i would probabally be most at risk from the inquisitors or commissars. Assuming that I'm some middle to average guardsman then my own personality would put me ight in the firing line of my own side, who lets faced it see no problem in killing me off, or torturing me then turning me into a servo (cyborg slave).

Although nearly every enemy would also be rather terrifying to me, the tau or eldar (or orks and nids?) less so as they don't ever tend to torture people just kill them.

Chaos, dark eldar, renagade marines, the inquisition and necrons could all quite possibally result in a tortured if not i'd be enslaved for all eternity

Xenomorphs from Aliens, well because.

Xenomorphs use you as either food or incubation chambers.
Exactly that. The concept of acidic monsters that are going to use me as food or a fucking incubation chamber is terrifying, not to mention those. Fucking. Facehuggers.

They were the reason I never finished an alien game as a marine or a predator. Yes, I'm a little *****.

At least with Predators, it's a battle. He's hunting me for sport, It's cunning versus cunning, but if he kills me it's not going to have a spider like creature latch onto my face and impregnate me.

Either that, or the flood. Don't the flood infect you?

Actually the Flood kills you, then re-animates the dead tissue from minutes to hours after your death.

Essentially death and zombification.

Though I think I remember that in some cases you might still be alive at the zombification phase. Not sure.

But from a purely metaphysical point of view, it's the traditional Chaos that scares me the most. If they exist, it means souls exist. And for Chaos, well... It's not your body they want (unless it's 'Blood for the Blood God, Skulls for the Skull Throne!'), they just want to eat your soul or corrupt it to make you serve them villingly. And a single good look at their symbology is enough to drive most insane, so... Add to that that the Chaos is led by four literal Gods, chances of victory against them would be slim to none.

Sure, Aliens and Tyranids just eat you and use you to feed/replicate and Dark Eldar annihilate your soul and torture you, but the Chaos converts you, makes you serve them, offer up your soul to them without asking and you won't even know you're in danger till it's too late...

Do the reapers from mass effect count? I wouldn't like to be up against an army of them, it took the human fleet to take down just one.

I'd hate to go up against the Zerg, they're like the Alien Xenomorphs, only more diverse and coordinate by a super-intelligence.

I haven't read the entire thread yet so I don't know if anyone's mentioned it but...

...The Skaarj would be pretty much something I'd avoid. I mean, they fuck you up in spaceships, they fuck you up in vehicles, they refurnish your body structure with both guns and explosives and even if they're unarmed they can pretty much tear you apart and rebuild you into an abstract piece of art.

EDIT: oh yes, and they're also super-intelligent.

Interesting topic. I would say - definitely Zerg. Sure they not as scary as Xenomorphs or Tyranids, but those you can at least fight somehow.
While zerg... well, they can basically asimilate EVERYTHING that's at least a bit biological (even other aliens) and then: control it/use it genomes to evolve/hatch Broodlings/use as a living bombs/or just mindless weapons. They can be small, big, colossal, fast, heavy, light, fly, move underground, attack via distance, brutal force or simple infection. They also come in heeeeeavy numbers, 'cause the more life is on the planet, the more biological resources they have. Oh, and they can always bury if things are going bad for them.
The only way to effectively fight them is to blow the planet to freakin' pieces. And even then they could've escape 'cause can also travel through space.
So yeah, Zerg aren't really that scary, but to fight them... you're pretty much screwed right of the bat :]
