I remember last year, big titles, a lot of spending and everything, unfortunately a new game like Alan Wake didn't sale that well, the worst thing about it is that it was pretty good.
I feel this year there is a lot of big titles, some new some, nostalgic and some sequels.
Now days I think Gamers have more than just one console so there are a lot of choices but not everyone have the money to spend in more than 4 new games per year and I mean new because there is no profit for developers if you buy a used game(im not saying buying used games is bad)
So which title do you feel will fail in that aspect?
If there are some grammar errors it's because English is not my first language.
Here is a list of some big titles:
Crysis 2
Killzone 3
Marvel vs Capcom 3
Mortal Kombat
Elder Scrolls V
Bulletstorm
Zelda
Dragon Age 2
Uncharted 3
Killzone 3
Gears 3
Duke Nukem Forever
Mass Effect 3
L.A. Noire
Batman Arkham City.
The Last Guardian
Deus Ex
Crysis 2
Portal 2
F3AR
Battlefield 3
Homefront
COD MW3 (Rumor)
Brink
Saints Row 3
Disgaea 4
PS: THIS ARE THE BIG TITLES COMING THIS YEAR..... IM NOT SAYING EVERY GAME ON THIS LIST WILL FAIL. I'M SAYINH ONE OR TWO GAMES IN THIS LIST COULD.
Everyone is pointing out Homefront, L.A. Noire and Bulletstorm.
-Personally I think Homefront may sell well because if I recall well, I heard a rumor that the game will be at 50 dollars or 40 from the start, so that may be a good strategy, (a lot of people buy deadly premonition because "It was fun and cheap").
- L.A. Noire is a Rockstar game and the facial technology looks pretty awesome and also I have no doubts about buying the game. Also take a look at the list.... Not so many sandbox right?
- Bulletstorm might have all the people that are tired of FPS trying to be so serious, or every guy who is tired or hate Call Of Duty game, so I think it will sell well.
I think Brink will be the game with low sales, maybe because of the marketing, it was announce long time ago and now pretty much everyone forget about the game, also I don't even have a clue how is the gameplay, story or something.
