I must give it a rewatch and see. I just recall that Tatu song playing over the final fight. That's just burned into my brain as how dated the show will likely look now.
Heh, yeah...apparently not in teh DVD release, though. Surprisingly, the weird music they chose tended to work. The otehr version without TaTu just isn't the same.

This is true but it would just be nice for someone to have the balls to write a character like that where their character isn't built around the disability.

But that's why they should make a Kate Kane movie because being damaged is her whole character. Except it's never about redepmtion, it's learning to live with the fact that things go wrong and you might just never be able to get over it. Which is surprisingly mature a view for comics. (And why she's my favourite current character in DC) Plus, finding a man wouldn't be of much use to her. Although a lesbian main character in what would likely be a PG-13 is it's own can of worms.
Oh, sure, but like you said, nobody is game to do that.

Personally, I like her because she is what Batman is supposed to be. Batman doesn't seem to work except as a catalyst in other people's stories (IMHO), possibly because of the weight of decades of continuity which doesn't affect her.

Despite having still not seen it, I'm sensing that was directed toward Green Lantern. Is it really like that? Urgh.
Have you seen Blade: Trinity? Same character, except now he has a high paid day job as a test pilot he's always goofing off around, whining about it until he gets a lantern ring. To be fair, everything else in that movie sucked as well, it's not fair to really pick on him.

Here's a couple I would love to see in movie form;

Marvels Next Wave; Agents of H.A.T.E.
Everything that is good about comics is in this book, monocle and top hat wearing Tyrannosaurs, Fin Fang Foom in purple shorts and one of Marvels best characters ever; Aaron Stack the Machine Man.

2000ADs Kingdom.
Genetically engineered dog soldiers with the names of movie stars wonder a wasteland fighting off giant insects whilst man slumbers in underground bunkers. GET WHET!

Speaking of which, as much as I would love to see an AHAB or Atavar movie, I think they would be a little too out there for most people... however...

2000ADs Nikolai Dante.
If you're familiar with him, I don't really need to explain it, but in the future a bastard son of Russian royalty has swash-buckling adventures.

Vertigo Imprints Sandman:
This would make a brilliant movie, full of wonderful visuals and unusual conflicts, why it hasn't been picked up for production yet when some of Gaimans lesser works like Mirrormask have I will never know.

Seconding The Sandman, which had something along "it doesn't have a bad guy" one reason a pitch failed.

In the same vein, Lucifer who had his own spin-off after Season of Mists. Too bad David Bowie isn't younger...

That actually makes total sense. Never really thought of it that way. And you may have just nailed the reason (which I could never put my finger on) as to why I thought Dick Grayson's run as Batman was better than Bruce. It is definitely a plus with her that they keep her stroylines pretty self-contained. And as for being what Batmn should be, absolutely. He just seems to brood because it makes him dark and mysterious while she's genuinely depressed and disillusioned with the world.

No, I have not but that sounds throughly awful... it must be watched.
And no, it seems to be pretty ok to pick on him. He's sort of become the new Mark Walberg, god help him.

Deapool - The Movie is like Preacher - The Movie. Something that sounds awesome on paper but would likely be horrible onscreen. Preacher could work as a miniseries though, but would have to have the perfect director, cast and viewers.

A League of Extraordinary Gentlemen film, but done right. Keep Mina as the leader of the group and don't shoehorn in an American character just so the focus groups have someone to relate to. Leave the majority of the characters as the amoral and murderous bastards they are, instead of making them more relatable.
Agreed! Just finished re-reading the series along with the latest "Century" Vol 3 books and it just bugs me what a great opportunity was missed on that first film.

Plus every time I read one of Mina's lines I hear it in Kate Beckinsale's voice. Maybe cast her, Naveen Andrews as Nemo and Liam Neeson as Quartermaine.

As you can see, I've given this no thought at all...

Actually and this may sound crazy... but use the tech they did on Jeff Bridges in Tron Legacy.

Now hear me out, I'm away of the massive uncanny valley effect of that technology, but Angels, including Lucifer are meant to be so perfect it's unsettling to look at them, this is an example of how the uncanny valley can be used to great effect.

I've been reading The Darkness recently, and I think that'd be a good one. Stick more with the aesthetics of the second video game though, the artstyle of the comics tends towards a lot of fanservice RE: Naked ladies everywhere, and the darklings and Darkness in general don't always have much of an impressive look (Especially when they're done in green. Who did that, seriously?). Ditch the Darkness armour too, it always made me think of Spawn in unfavourable ways, and it usually detracts from Jackie. The contrast between the mobsters and the demonic manifestations of the darkness is cool. Another "Necroplasmic" bodysuit wrapping skin-tight around a character in a genre full of them was not. Some of the art released alongside the game, like the cover from the comic, worked really well.

I'm not sure who I'd like to see as Estacado, maybe Dominic Cooper, his character in Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter had the right sort of look.

I don't know about anyone else, I don't have time to really read the whole thread, in class.

But we need more Deadpool. Hilarity shall ensue.

Director. No Michael Bay. Who's the guy who did the Captain America movie? Maybe.... him.
Actor for Deadpool. I want fit Joe Schmo behind the mask, fuck some celebrity being there.

theirs a book called THE IGNORED by Bently little

the main character is so average with an average job, he is just so average he becomes ignored, invisible to the public eye. is there anyone else like him?. craziness follows.

the actor that would play the main guy, dont know. have not thought that far ahead.
it would be an upcoming actor.

I want a cgi Savage Dragon movie from his nineties cop years and a mature rating ( as much as i want a game).
Transmetropolitan and Preacher are great but i doubt a little that it would work as a movie.

The Boys are great too. It would be triology material but on the other side adapting it true to the books looks like a sure AO rating to me. I know the rights are already sold but i fear nothing good will come out of it.
Speaking of Ennis and a AO rating: a "Crossed" movie would be cool and would get a sure ban in several countries.
Instead of the Boys a Powers movie would work, if they find someone who writes a good story. As much as i like Bendis dialogue in this comic i haven`t found a story that really got me in it.

I recently finished "The Exterminators" it was intended as a tv series but ended up as a highly entertaining Vertigo comic. With the right budget it would make a damn fine horror flick.

I'd have a word with Alan Moore and make a V for Vendetta that doesn't suck ass. I heard that David Hayter, (METAL GEEAAR!!!), wrote a really good screenplay that kept true to the original comic, but they didn't use it.
And I wouldn't have what's-her-face as Evey, she was an unlikable enough character as it is without her terrible acting.

My vote....
I want to see a movie for "Gladstone's School For World Conquerors".
I feel like taking the literal feeling of Harry Potter crossed with villainous Teen Titans.

I want to change my to Alan Moore's Lost Girls. Lets just troll that guy and make movies out of everything he does. Additionally, the comic-based-porn genre has been severely under-represented.
