I would include Square-Enix to this list, however ... I feel that their recent games are nowhere near as innovative as they have been.
Can definitely agree with that. Likewise, I would have said Koei, but their recent crop of titles has really disappointed me, like Dynasty Warriors Gundam. In that case, my first choice might actually be Capcom, though I do think it's cool that Konami is re-issuing some of their classic PS2 games like Silent Hill 2 and ZOE2 due to demand.

I'd have to go with Valve and Bungie, they're the obvious choices. Also, Bioware are pretty nice.

Also...Blizzard.

Gotta go with Valve on this one, countless numbers of updates for TF2 at no cost at all, making the game last forever without going tired of it..

And the game itself is very cheap also, how they make money off of it i dont know, but i sure do appreciate it :)

compared to microsoft everyone cares about their customers but bill gates needs to relize that even though they have good stuff they need to use it better so i think a new person should be in charge of microsoft if this happens the world would be a better place

I'd have to say Bioware and id Software. Bioware because they keep pushing their games forward and making them better and more enjoyable. id Software simply because of the time they put into developing a game while trying to stay true to their original fans and being on limited resources (at least they have been bought now). Also, their want to keep Quake Live free to all players.

Though they're all businesses and what they want most is sales.

Valve is pretty good about caring about their fans. Konami possibly since they don't just regurgitate the same crap like other companies.

Well all businesses are. We are asking which company is more like a Mom & Pop store (more personal and care about their loyal customers) and which company is more like a giant corporation (less personal and don't care about how they get their money as long as they get a lot of it).

This. All companies are in the business of making money.
That's kind of what a business is. However fostering good customer loyalty and giving off the appearance that you care (even if you secretly don't) is a good way to ensure you will have a near-constant source of money in the long term.

Whoring yourself out at every opportunity isn't the best way to make money. Gotta look at the big picture.

Activision and EA of course...

Joking aside I'd say Valve. There's a reason there's so many of us Valve fanboys/girls around. They don't just chug out a game and leave it forgotten as they work on the next. They nurture every one of them with DLC and keep listening to the fans for ideas for said DLC.

paradox, no competition.
Yeha because of the relatively small fanbase they can really take an active role in the community and thus listen to their fans

Yay for paradox!

I would say Blizzard untill they released the next expasnion for WoW, totally fucking it up...
Cataclysm? How do you think that is going to fuck it up? Apart from in game the worlds literally going to get broken and fucked up. :p

I'd say Valve, out of all the games I play regularly and know about anyway.

I would say Valve, but they only had great DLC for TF2. They are releasing a sequel to L4D a year after it came out (which split the community).
I'd say Bungie but their DLC costs too much, and to get people to pay they made some of my favorite game types require the DLC.

Bungie, they talk and listen to their community when they ask questions and they give answers. So often their choices in design and balancing had the players enjoyment as the top priority and they worked to make their games as fun and balanced as possible. They've made a lot of upgrades and as I said they really connect with their fanbase.
That's why I like Bungie.
Id probably agree with this. Im not the biggest fan of Halo but Bungie while I was playing Halo 2 were incredibly helpful and they have a fantastic game monitoring site.

Although Bethesda are also quite a good company and so is Valve.

Hard to decide really aslong as nobody chooses EA and Activision seriously.

I would say Blizzard too but they charged too much for WoW. Not sure about Cataclism, it looks like a normal expansion pack.
