The last few years have not been a kind year to alot of game developers with the economic crisis causing many to close down. So my question is simple, which developer do you miss the most?

My vote goes out to Free Radical, the developer of the utterly awesome Timesplitters franchise. Great games they were, shame we may never see a fourth for a looooong time.

None.

Bethesda and Naughty Dog (the only two companies I care for) are going strong!

Free Radical, for Timesplitters.

Pandemic, who are now on a life support made by EA, who will charge it for it's oxygen and it's oxygen v1.41.

Free Radical were awesome, and it sucks that Haze's development was so fucked up and they got shut down. Timesplitters 2 and 3 were crazy awesome, and Second Sight has one of the best stories in any game I've played.

But then again, It's always sad when a studio closes. You might think that if a studio made a sucky game they deserve to be shut down, but it's still just a load of people losing there jobs, which is never good.

Timesplitters 3 is the best FPS of all time (If only for the fact that it has a fucking ninja-monkey) and I really want to see a 4th one. Even if it is going to use the Haze-engine and look like poo I want it.

Origin and Westwood.

Then we'd not only have Ultima Online II (Ultima Online being the only online RPG I've ever played and liked), but on the Westwood end of things the writing in the Command & Conquer games would probably make a lot more sense.

Troika. The part of Black Isle that continued to make games only to be worked over by the publishers.

Off the top of my head, the only one I can think of is Westwood. Untold hours of my childhood were lost to the Command & Conquer franchise. Rest in peace.
