FFX's.

Because I am so sick of opera singing, and Jecht is just that manly.

Almost as manly as Kuja.

Dark Messenger. FFIX is my favorite. Still...the whole Necron crap was rather random.

Dark Messenger takes second place, I think, while Nascent Requiem gets third (and I haven't even played FF13, nor do I plan to).

First place? Dancing Mad, by a mile. No contest.

Good, because that was the Trance Kuja music.
Oh believe me, I know. What I meant was: Despite FFIX being my favorite FF, I fully acknowledge that the final boss came out of nowhere and had no connection to the story whatsoever.

I understood the point of him. "I am the creator. I made a mistake. You all must die . . .You have proven that, despite adversity, you wish to live. You are free to go." But yeah, really random. If he'd been forshadowed at ALL he would've been fine though.

Yeah...but in true "Deus ex machina" fashion...no forshadowing whatsoever (like you said). This is what the FF wikia (http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Necron) says about it:

"Its appearance in the game is somewhat of a mystery, as it arrives unexpectedly and its character is never fully explained, much to the fans' vexation."

Vexation indeed.... being an expensive word for utter irritation lol.

Definitely Yu-Yevon's battle theme. It seems so colorful and full of life.... especially compared to the other themes.

Yeah. Still, at least the game doesn't throw any other huge curveballs at you until then, unlike FFX. Oh, except that whole thing where Dagger and Eiko are sisters or whatever, but that wasn't bad, really.

Always has been from the moment I first heard it and always will be Dancing Mad. Almost 18 minutes of concentrated awesomeness.

Definitely not bad, considering Princess Garnet's...ahem...Dagger's daydream in the opening cinematic...and her behaviour at Madain Sari (the Eidolon Wall town she is originally from)....and *lol* "her horn having been surgically removed". Yeah, sometimes it can suck to be adopted.

At least it was an earnest attempt to make it fit together...even though the end result for most players was prolly "Really now...sisters? Are you by any chance insulting my intelligence?" But hey...I was 13 when I played it for the first time. My standards were lower then. Not low enough to fail to notice the randomness of Necron though. That was one of the first times I felt my intelligence was insulted lol.
