For a PC Gamer: Any FPS on a console.

Seriously though, I tried Killzone 2 on a buddy's PS3 and it took me 20 minutes to beat the first bit of the game (upto the point where you take the lift indoors, to open a gate or sth) at which point i said, "yeah, gimme a mouse and keyboard, Or SCREW THIS!"

How do you people play FPS' on consoles? It's beyond me!
Sticky aim, which KZ2 doesn't have. It seems to get a lot of hate because people think about CoD's single player and think it auto snaps onto anything and everything. Although CoD MP IMO does have too much aim assist. However, even on PC, I really wouldn't rank it high in the skill category. Players move very slowly when ADS and max movement speed gives you spray and pray accuracy. Unless you're using a non-WAW SMG, in which case you can try to circle strafe, but it still doesn't help as much as it does in say, UT or Quake.

Hacks...
litterally.

all console fps games have an auto aim or aim assist feature built into them because they innately lack any sort of fine tune aiming like you do with a mouse and keyboard.

None, just gotta be Host, and any skill you have becomes very obsolete because no one can touch you before you touch them

I first started with CoD 4; got my ass handed to me.
Then I tried MW2; Ass handed to me but eventually built up skills.
Then came BO; I almost always end up in the top 3 :D

Battlefield BC2. It takes skill to work properly with your teammates, and everyone knows that teamwork is the key to succes in Battlefield

Takes some skill to play FPS on consoles. Pointing and shooting with the mouse is much easier than with a controller!

Also, when the game forces you to shoot with L2/R2... It's a nightmare!

Left 4 Dead requires a fair amount of skills in a lot of areas, especially teamwork. And when you get into the higher difficulties or face really good teams in competitive modes, this becomes even more true.

Left 4 Dead 2 may be less so with the addition of melee weapons, but I'm not entirely sure you can say they break the game. They, in my opinion, merely alter how the game is to be played, like how the Charger and Spitter are designed to stop camping out in corners and closets.

for my list it would be the original quake multiplayer then css and then possibly cod4 for PC only (no autoaim aka aimbot). anything from the battlefield series is more a question of teamwork then individual skill really. I mean its handy being able to take down guys quicker then others but thats not gonna apply if you suddenly meet a squad of people working together

All of them take skill. COD requires just as much as CS:S. Just like CS:S, COD has noobs and good people. There are people with a k/d of 3 and people with a k/d of 0.5.

I don't think Counter Strike 1.6 and Source require more skill than modern shooters, it's just that they have been around for so damn long that the average skill is a lot higher than the average skill of, say, a CoD player.

Overall I would say Killzone 2 requires the most skill

Wait, isn't that the game that has that sniper rifle, the AWP or something, that does one hit kills no matter where you hit someone? Yeah, then that game REALLY takes skill.

OT: Red Orchestra.
I searched youtube for "Red Orchestra Sniper" and this was the first search result:

[sarcasm]Leg shot kill one minute in. How horribly unrealistic, clearly this game requires no skill.[/sarcasm]

Don't be such a close-minded child. I wouldn't argue Counter-Strike requires the MOST skill, but to say it requires none (or little) is absurd. Counter-Strike is not remotely realistic, leave it at that. That's the primary reason I prefer CS to CS:S.
Sorry for insulting your beloved Counter Strike... damn fanboys...
You guys can get dumber than I thought. Any game that has OHKO completely ruins the game and makes it no skill?

-sigh-
I've never played the game, but my friend told me it was one hit kill anywhere and it had no... erm... forgot the word... where it doesn't go exactly where you shoot. So, basically, it fires exactly where the sights are pointed and is an instant kill. And when everyone can run around and no-scope with it, yeah, pretty sure it takes no skill.

Know what would take real skill? (not to mention guts/real willpower)

Putting down FPS games completely and learning to play something else.
