Infamous is one of my favorite games, best money I've ever spent.

LBP is pretty cool, and cooler with friends. Also, I bought it.

WipEout is not my cup of tea, since I suck at racing games, and by extension, I don't like them. Since there's no other option, I'm getting this.

Dead Nation resembles Alien Swarm from Steam, and I LOVED Alien Swarm, so, that's good on my list. Getting this one too.

Super Stardust HD is... ok i guess, I have it with all the add-ons, and I don't play it much. Maybe I'm not the kind of guy who likes arcade that much.

And people saying "This games are old and suck", they certainly do not suck, and they're hardly what you'd consider "OLD".

Old is Morrowind, Old is KOTOR, Old is Diablo II. NONE of this games matches the description, just because they aren't fresh new like Portal 2 or L.A. Noir does NOT mean they're pieces of shit. They are a good selection of games (Not the BEST games, but they are good titles) and they are worth getting.

Whatever you do, don't get inFamous. It's a very bland third person shooter, easily the worst third person shooter I've seen in this console generation (and I've also played Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard: at least that game had some laughs and it knew its plot was utterly stupid and thus didn't take itself seriously, which gives it a couple of points over inFamous). It's honestly not even worth the free download, that's how bad I think it is.

It sounds like you want to get Stardust and Dead Nation, so just go with those two.

I would go for infamous and dead nation, I dont know much about stardust. Here in England we get rachet and clank instead of stardust so I think we have the better deal
Yep, pretty much. Too bad you couldn't get Ratchet and Clank in place of inFamous rather than Stardust. Then it would be the ultimate better deal.
But its not a third person shooter :/ lol

And I'm struggling to understand why it was bland, had more content in that one game then most if not all third person shooters I've ever played.

Even though the selection is laughably pitiful, i'd recommend InFamous and Wipeout. But yeah, it's a complete cop-out of a gift. Just sayin...
Well, I downloaded LBP today and I'm enjoying myself immensely. I'd have downloaded Infamous as well if I didn't already have it (not to mention I just finished a good and evil playthrough before the welcome back program came online).

But to be fair, three of the games look like games that very few people have heard about or would buy, and the other two have sequels coming out soon (I'm pretty sure LBP2 isn't out yet ... is it?). Then again, free games! And I never would have bought LBP otherwise, so it gave me a chance to experience a really fun game that I would've ignorantly missed out on otherwise.

OT: Infamous is good (though be careful, if you are playing as good, a single poorly thrown grenade will insta-kill you, whereas when playing as evil you get more grenades but they aren't individually powerful enough to kill you). I haven't chosen my second game, but it'll probably be Dead Nation, as I imagine the online community will have a nice boost (is it online?), and the other two don't appeal to me (just not my cup of tea. I'd rather have another alien swarm than a game I wouldn't play at all).

inFamous is really good, definitely that one. And it doesn't take too long to finish, at least if you don't want it to. It's a sandbox game with a moral choice system, so theoretically, if you want to you could play it for twice the time that GTA takes. However, GTA is a much longer game, so that's purely theoretical.

I didn't like the look of Wipeout, I don't like zombie games, I've already got InFamous (and liked it), I live in the Netherlands so no Stardust but Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty. so I downloaded LBP and Ratchet & Clank. So from your list I would only recommend InFamous. Fun game.

Alright, first things first, I don't like racing games. At all.

But WipEout HD Fury is some of the most fun I've ever had on the PS3! It's not racing by any stretch of the imagination, it's another league entirely.

I actually bought the game twice (once digitaly, once on disc with the expansion) so getting it for free, if you don't have it, is a no-brainer for me.

Personaly, I'm getting Dead Nation and Ratchet & Clank, but only because I have all the other options.

I already own those two so I went to get WipEout and Dead Nation, started the download of WipEout and now I appear to have used up BOTH my downloads. Which I most certainly haven't!
Da hell Sony?!

Bland? Third-person-shooter? I think you're talking about the wrong game there.

Infamous is the sandbox game, with the lightning powered superhero and the side missions.

Definitely Wipeout

I want more people to play with on that game.

Also: Anyone having trouble getting anything on that store? error messages constantly.

Mechanically Infamous is the same as a 3rd-person shooter, Cole just shoots lightning bullets out of his hand instead of shooting actual bullets out of a gun, really not much difference. He even has basically electric grenades and a sniper rifle-like zoom-in ability. It has more platforming that TPS though.

I've only played the demo to Infamous so I can't comment on whether or not it's bland, but I will be getting it as one of the free games (along with Dead Nation) because I have all the other games except for Stardust, which doesn't interest me much. I'm going into Infamous thinking it'll be just alright because the demo wasn't anything special and it's a open world/sandbox game and very few devs know how to make good sandbox games (and Rockstar isn't one of them).

Infamous and LBP. I'm in europe and I already have Infamous, so I choose LBP and Ratchet and Clank.

InFamous is a must if you dont have it

Then I went with DeadNation.. looks like its a fun little game.

I think the game selection is fine and a nice gesture, its like if someone breaks into your house doesnt really steal anything and then your landlord feels bad and gives you some free shit

If you played some of LBP and didn't like it, then I'd say just go for inFamous and Stardust. They're both a lot of fun (stupid-fun in inFamous's case). Stardust is indeed the kind of game you can just pick up whenever and have fun with, and inFamous's run time really depends on whether you feel like doing the side missions and how much you like to dick around, but, either way, it shouldn't be too time-consuming by sandbox game standards.

Look in your download history. They should be there.

If not, go to the XMB --> Account Management --> Transaction Management --> Service List --> SCEA Promotions and you'll find your download "tokens".

inFAMOUS is a fantastic game. I am on my 3rd or 4th playthrough now, my first after getting the Platinum Trophy. Great reviews, and one of the best games I own.

Then maybe Dead Nation or Super Stardust, I assume you already own LBP. I hate racing games, so can't really comment on Wipeout, only that, money wise, it is probably the better deal.

Thank you kind Escapist! I was having the same problem.

I'm downloading Ratchet & Clank: Quest For Booty and Dead Nation. I already own Infamous.

I played a demo of Wip3out for PS1 years ago and liked it, but I have no clue what the series is really like.

Wow, better check my PS3 to see if Australia gets these free games too.

Which begs the question, why not just decide which ones 'not to get'?

I'm definately not getting LBP... because I was already stupid enough to buy it, so, waste of download clearly

The others, Infamous, even based on Yahtzee's review (yonks ago), he had some positive things to say about it, remember BE EVIL (in the game).

Wipeout probably not, since I have GT5, the best racing game ever created... yet it will be easily outdone by GT6 on the PS4, but that's the future...

I have no idea what stardust is *looks up* Ah! The 1993 classic? Oh wait, you meant to say this;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Stardust_HD

Super Stardust HD... It looks like it could be small enough and possibly fun, so why not?

Dead nation only recieved 10 votes, the OP talks about it being good with multiplayer, but it has recieved positive reviews, so why not get it? Delete it later if it isn't any good.
