Bioware or Uber Entertainment, or bungie, Or CCP

The commonality? - ALL seem care about community, not cash.
This. Also, the only significant contribution I could make would be my writing and useless information (and a knack for languages).

I find it funny that so many people wish to work for Valve. From what I know they very selectively hand pick only the best of the best according to their stress tolerance and willingness to put tremendous amounts of love and effort into projects that may and probably will take years of hard work. The job interviews alone last over two weeks.

Me? I'd like to work for CCP, the creators of EVE Online. I consider myself to be fairly experienced and I feel passionate about the game. Besides, they know how to have some fun even when people are breaking the game mechanics with another exploit and the forums are filled with whines :)

Blizzard - it's been my lifelong dream to work there.

Hmm... but of not, Frictional Games, the same guys who make Penumbra and Amnesia. I would LOVE to work there on one of their games (probably working on story/design of puzzles-encounters-levels/'what would scare the shit out of the player').

I also really like THQ's games, especially ones like Dawn of War and Impossible Creatures (I know that the last one was Relic, but as I understand it, Relic is part of THQ now.)

So many awesome options.

Bioware
Blizzard
Sucker Punch
Naughty Dog
Valve
Ubisoft
Square-Enix

I'm sure I could list more, but I think that'll do for now.

Valve, they have a knack for taking off the wall ideas like Portal and Left 4 Dead and fleshing them out into fully realized games. My crazy game ideas would stand a better chance of becoming a reality there than in any other major studio.
unless it's in first person or some form of a shooter that has not so much depth or time that you can play through it (only Half-Life has depth, and see how they're delaying episode 3?) then no, you got no shot, because i would ONLY agree with that statement if they made an open-world game that was also on the consoles (g-mod doesnt really count) because THAT would be off-the-wall, considering there's only... what? a very few left? i wanna see more sandbox games set in more places!

in that case it would be a hard decision between wanting to work for Volition or Radical because THEY are always experimenting with making games that push the limits of their genres

EDIT: Nevermind, i want to work for Rockstar, they know how to make a sandbox game come to life and i want to see if i could get a Samurai and FULLY zombie-themed sandbox game through

Lionhead... because you don't have to deliver on any promise you make, you don't really need to make an original project, and your game will still sell millions of copies and give you a fat paycheck.

Realtime Worlds.

Ohohohohohohoho. Just kidding.

I'd love to work for Valve because I admire their work greatly (and the Source engine is fairly simple to use for an idiot like me) or Blizzard because I have poured countless hours of my time into their work and I like how they don't really have any deadlines at all.

Blizzard, so I can fix their atrocious stories. Yes, I will be bold enough to say I can do better. A lot of people could do better.

And is it too much to ask that if you make the attempt at technobabble, you at least make it believable?

Square Enix. I love Square's games, and since the closest I'll get to Square Soft is Square Enix, yeah.

Bethesda - to work on Elder Scrolls series.

Ubisoft Montreal - so I can work on Splinter Cell. Ubisoft also has a track record made of magical fairie dust. It's a relatively short drive (~5 hours) from where I live. But I'd have to work in Montreal...
