I played and loved every God Of war, have never even seen someone play Gears, and yet i think Gears of War. it's a strange world we live in.

OT: God of War comes first to mind as it is the better game. You can argue all day long but PS3 still has better exclusives.

I never did see the film adaptation...

I've seen the film adaptation but never read the book. It was pretty god damn depressing, and then we were told the book was even more depressing since they cut the proper ending from the movie due to film censorship at the time.

OT: I think God of War, I've always heard and seen Gears of War referred to as simply Gears. In all fairness God of War did come first.

GoW -IS- God Of War (it came first, end of story)

The proper abbreviation for Gears Of War is "Gears". No one ever thinks of anything else if you say "Gears" in a gaming context.

Eh...I think of God of War, but I can usually tell from the context if someone else uses it. Gears of War has been much more significant the last couple years than God of War, so it seems like people lately usually mean Gears.

But on the other hand, a lot of people just call it "Gears" instead of "GOW", which is better anyway.

Well, if I see GOW I normally think Gears of War just because I assume that anyone that plays God of War for the story and not the blood knows that its written GoW. 'Of' does not warrant an uppercase letter.
