CoD, but recently Halo.

Just, I got so crap at Halo and now my friend who owns a PS3 is getting better scores than me. It's starting to frustrate the fuck out of me.

Though, I was doing very well on the Reach beta, even got a positive K/D, sooo...I think I'll do fine with Reach, though.

Lately?

Space Station 13.

Mostly because, if you die, you have to wait for the round to end before you can play again, which can take pretty long. You can also hope to get cloned or turned into a cyborg but that doesn't happen a lot in my experience...

Civ 4

The combat mechanics are horrid, not quite Phallanx-beats-Battleship bad, but close. Plus conquering cities sucks.
Not to mention, no matter how big you are, no matter how small the AI opponent is, the AI will always be caught up to you tech-wise.

Every fighting game I've ever played is clunking heads in the doorway of this thread.

Soul Calibur 4. Real interesting that I happen to have input lag and my opponent doesn't...
Dude really? I know its frustrating thats why i just stick with the local fighting game group. But thats like the worst thing you can do in fighting games is quit before the match ends.

I quit simply because it's an unfair fight. Character tiers notwithstanding, if I have a full second delay in my attacks and my opponent can do combos and setups just fine, there's something wrong.

The hell scene in the first God of War. I swear the climbing segment is the dumbest design in game play...

Serious Sam. For some reason, EVERYONE that plays online co-op on that game puts it on hard difficulty, and as anyone that has played Serious Sam will tell you, HARD MODE IS SUICIDE.

Undoubtedly Team Fortress 2, especially when the defending team is nothing but engineers and spies, with 50 sentries all over the place.

UT2003. I used to rage quite playing 1v1's against a clan mate (I didn't want to admit that 120 ping was a severe handicap and believed it was a lack of my own skill). 5 years later I learned that 60 ping is AWESOME.

Final Fantasy XIII

Scenario:

ALRIGHT! My party's at the highest level they're allowed to be at the moment. I've been grinding for the last two hours after this stupid boss beat me three times in a row. Weapons' levels increased by 3-5. Let's see how we do this time...

*minutes later*

GOD DAMMIT!

*looks up FAQ*

...Easy!? This boss is EASY!? I PLAYED WITH THE EXACT ARRANGEMENT AS YOU'RE STUPID FAQ AND THE YOUTUBE VIDEO! WITH HIGHER LEVEL CHARACTERS!!

*violently flings PS3 control*

MW2 mostly because I swear I was decent at it, I wasn't good that's for sure but I'd always squeak by with a barely positive score (like 12-10) but that was good enough for me. Then I came back to the game after taking a break and found I couldn't get one kill everyone had just gotten to damn good, that was frustrating.
Yea same for me. I can't usually stand online FPS games for this very reason, takes waaaaay to much dedication to maintain a decent skill level.
