I like the Playstation 3 the best. It has free online. I haven't had a lot of luck with my computer (if you've ever used a security program called spysweeper then you know what I'm talking about.) You have to worry about getting hacked and dealing with hackers on a computer, but not so much on a PS# or XBOX 360. I like the PS3 game selection better. It's got inFAMOUS, Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, etc. I can't really give a recommendation between a computer or PS3, but in my opinion, both are better than the XBOX 360.

This.

Honestly, I like my ps3. I've never been much for PC gaming, since i've only had one non-Mac computer in my life (my laptop, which is now DEAD. another thread for another day.)

If you have an HD television, i strongly recommend the PS3. Just for the Blu-Ray alone. I swear The Dark Knight looks even better than it did on the IMAX screen.

Yes, yes it is. No one should be forced to pay for internet twice, even if you're paying for servers.

Xbox for community (I don't care if live isn't free it's like buying one game a year), pc for the single player experience and being able to play garrysmod, and the ps3 for being a paperweight oh and the last guardian whenever that comes out.

Well then have fun on your PC/PS3 because the 360 sucks without the fairly cheap in my opinion Live. Also Macs are terrible when it comes to games, so don't bother with that. And if you are too cheap to pay for Live, then you will not like the PC because unless you pay lots and lots of money you will need to put money into it.

PS3 it is then!

I'm okay with single payments, I don't buy recurring things because then I don't own them no matter how much money I put in them.

PC all the way here, though that's mainly because I build my own. Only way to go IMO. Though, my kids do have a Wii, they haven't touched the thing since I helped them build their own PC. BWAHAHAHA! Come to the dark side my children! We have cookies, waffles and PIE!

I think the PC is the better choice. I'm currently working on building a computer online. It is about $830 dollers and will destroy most games (I hope). Try www.cyberpowerpc.com. It is easy to built one there.
Yup, you can build a decent gaming rig using parts from www.newegg.com for $750 easy.

Xbox 360 - No pubic hair.
PS3 - No games.
PC - No life.
Wii - No penis.
Mac - No games.

Hope that explains it. (Hopefully everyone can take a joke.)

Also, go PC.

And what, pray tell, is wrong with a wii ... ... (glare) ... ... ...

Anyway.

I do most of my gaming on a mac... ... running windows... It's faster than my mates PC which is only four month olds. (my macs nearing a year.)
If your willing to shell out the money this is the way to go. May run into some issues if the software doesn't recognize a dedicated graphics card as everything is inbuilt into the motherboard, but most of these can be easily bypassed.

id advise a pc if you dont already have one. The main reason is that games are cheaper (MANY are free or free to play online) also a pc isnt JUST a gaming platform so you have a full media centre and home office should you ever need that.

Depending on the kind of games you like you can get a new pc for any thing from £300.
That being said id recomend looking at the DELL website who have a good history of making pc's as you say you dont want to make one your self. Ive been using a dell pc which is now about 3-4 years old. cost me about £800 originaly and is still fine for playing the latest games and online gaming (fallout 3, and DDO are 2 big examples for you.) Id avoid pc world and similar shops. If you have LOTS of money check out alien ware. Also Ill say that the most important things to note when buying a pc for gaming are the amount of RAM, and the quality of the grafix card. Also try to go for a seperate sound card as onboard sound will deter from the pc's overall performance.

The only think that may turn you away from pc is if you prefer the idea of geting some mates round to play games in your lounge - consoles do this much better. PC gaming is multiplayer only in the sense of playing with others over the internet or over a local area network.

One quick question..... how did u write on this forum with no pc?? im slightly baffled?

The online on the 360 is worth it, you get a years worth of service for $60. It has a lot of good games and a decent community. Aside from the system shitting itself from time to time, it's worth it.
