Dark Void. Seriously.
They took the premise of a serial-style hotshot pilot going to another dimension and using a jetpack built by Nikola Tesla to fight reptilian aliens in mech suits and somehow made a lousy game from it.

OT: In all honesty, I wouldn't. Games and films are both visual mediums, so adapting one to the other seems a pointless endeavour, and requires either expanding a film to game length, or cutting out the gameplay sections to make a game film length.
A film based on bits of a game universe, or a game based in a film universe could work, but these are ignored in favour of direct adaptations from one to the other. (apart from the plethora of star wars games).
For example, a film based around a spectre in the mass effect universe, someone who isn't Shepard? That might work. Re-telling the events of the mass effect games? That wouldn't. Far too much would have to be removed to fit a reasonable film length, and whilst no-one wants to sit through the amount of gunplay the game features, you couldn't remove much of it without also removing the scale of the conflict the game portrays. (Likewise with a halo film, if one ever gets made)

Majora's Mask is my favorite game of all time, but the thing that pushes Zelda isn't really the story, it's the gameplay and puzzle solving. FF: Unlimited is it's own story, no direct connection to FFVII outside of a few references and Final Fantasy-isms. Last Order is a 30 minute OVA prequel to FFVII. On the subject of FFVII that's what I would like to see a movie of. Or FF IX or X. Also I know Gears of War is in production but I'm crossing my fingers that won't suck ass.FargoDog said:
Megaman, Megaman 2 specifically, hopefully with a dash of Protoman somehow, I would also want Megaman to be played by an older teenager, also maybe get the guy who directed Scott Pilgrim because he's shown he can develop multiple characters. Oh and all the bosses get the Tokatsu treatment, just suits, with martial artists, the only CG being for the larger bosses.
