Which game, out of any game on any console/pc would you recommend me buying and trying and give a reason for why if you want to.

Any console, any genre.

Note: I'm looking for games that will get me off mmorpg's (WoW)

Batman: Arkham Asylum. It has an incredible combat system, a well implimented stealth feature and Mark Hamill in his best turn ever as The Joker. Best of all this game will make you truly feel you are the Goddamned Batman.:)

Narrow your criteria. What are you looking for?

I suppose if I could recommend ANY game I'd probably pick Chaos Legion, my personal favourite.

I'd recommend you try and track down a copy of 'ET' for the Atari 2600. It might be a bit difficult getting your hands on a console, but perservere and I'm sure you can get one eventually.

My reason is that you're a complete lemming who can't make decisions for yourself, or even give us some criteria about what you're looking for in a game, so frankly you DESERVE to be recommended one of the biggest pieces of shit in gaming history.

Umm, could you please narrow it down, at least list genres that you like. Otherwise I can't say anything other than games that I liked but, more than likely, you wouldn't.

So I'll say Silent Hunter 3.

fallout 3 the only non MMO game that i have used many many weeks on.
Yea. I think I may have actually played that game more than San Andreas.

Seeing as though you gave us no way of knowing your taste (TP) I too recommend Fallout 3...
Or San Andreas if you haven't played it.

You're going to need to give us preferences.

Otherwise, I'm going to start spouting Commodore 64 text adventures at you.

Uncharted 2 it just won X-Play's game of the year award yesterday and having played it myself I'm inclined to agree with them. I also recomend borderlands both the main game and the new expansion have kept me busy since I bought it and the co-op mode is good fun.

I don't mind any genre I want people's all time favourites that I may have not played. Also - not Demon's Soul's _zuul after the ZP review :p

May not have played, right...well, there's Star Control II. It's a pretty good science fiction game involving spaceships, resource gathering, building up an army against a race of bastards known as the Ur-Quan, and other stuff. I can't do it justice, so try wikipedia for exact details.

Also, it's free. The original developers have re-released it under the name "The Ur-Quan Masters", reason being that Atari own the copyright to the name "Star Controll II"

Hello Kitty Island Adventure?

Seriously though, if you're a PC user, get gmod. It's pretty much whatever you want it to be.
