Demon's Soul's is hardly the only game in recent years to adopt that archaic level of brutal rpg difficulty. I'm not sure why it's being touted as such.

That said, it's the closest a game has come to justifying a ps3 for me.

alright, to ween you off of the MMORPG's start off with a regular RPG or a JRPG..my recomendation would be Mass Effect ((360)) the console version so you can play it more than 3 times before needing a new copy...and Shenmue on the Sega Dreamcast. it's so amazing and it pisses you off, but you can't put it down...

All single player RPGs. I always play on PC, so IDK about other systems.

I think I may have spent more of my life playing all these games together than doing anything else, except maybe sleeping, and if so, it's a close second.

Take the free trial for guild wars to ween you off of mmos (its unique so hey, different gets you looking for things) then get the orange box or assassins creed 2.

Seriously though, if you're a PC user, get gmod. It's pretty much whatever you want it to be.

Agreed. Just buy the Orange Box and GMod (Left 4 Dead 1 or 2 wouldn't hurt either). Something for everyone.
