The Silent Hill OSTs are all on a permanent playlist for me. I remember when I heard about Silent Hill 8 I was like "Welp, might as well follow the development just to get the soundtra- AKIRA YAMAOKA IS GONE!?!?!?! NOOOOOOOOOO!" and now I don't even care that Silent Hill still exists in the modern era. The soundtracks are fucking incredible, especially when Akira Yamaoka teamed up with Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. They should seriously start a band in the same tone of the songs they did for the game soundtracks.

Other mentions:

The Witcher - The only reason I bought a physical copy instead of a Steam copy was for the OST.

Final Fantasy - The only thing I will give Final Fantasy credit for.

Halo - Yeah, the guy above is right. Halo's soundtrack was pretty awesome, even if I have since ceased to care about the series' existence.

The Half-Life 2 soundtrack: Very underrated, I don't know why but I love Kelly Bailey's style.

Sam & Max seasons 1-3: I love this stuff. Nice and Jazzeh.

A "sort of" mention:

Quake - I consider this a "sort of" mention because I would never listen to this soundtrack by itself, but I love the soundtrack while playing the game. The original Quake still scares my balls off for the sole reason of this soundtrack. This soundtrack was fucking creepy and weird. I swear to god if Trent Reznor "had time" for Doom 3/4 all the jump scares in the world would still be fucking creepy just because of his soundtrack.

Can't believe there's only been one mention of Homeworld so far!

Homeworld Main Theme [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOJaXybK4_A]
Maybe we don't mention it because that is Adagio for strings. It's was copied into the game, but it is not of the game.

Only counting games with original sound tracks:

Final Fantasy X, Armored Core 4, Armored Core: 4 Answer, Metal Gear Solid 3, Homeworld. All in their own ways great music.

I'd say Armored Core: 4 Answer has the best one. Choral pieces and processed vocals mixed with excellent electronic music.

The 3D sonic games have typically had a lot of music I like. Metroid games are usually good for music (especially Prime). Even Left 4 Dead has music I can get into.
To be perfectly honest, I find the 2-D Sonic games to be FAR better in the sound-track. But Left 4 Dead is also epic =D
Really? I just like the 3D ones because I'm a sucker for rock-n-roll / heavy guitar music. Also, it's really good music to add to Brawl for fighting (yay Brawl Minus)

I guess I just found the 2-D sonic music to be more... Sonic-like. Back when Sonic had his own universe rather than being an inexplicable hedgehog in a world full of real people.

Back when Robotnik was called Robotnik - not 'Eggman'.

Understandable. I miss the Robotnik days as well. But I guess I'm one of the weirdos who preferred the 3D games (most parts of them anyway) over the 2D games. Like I said, I'm one of the crazies.

Whew, I'm exhausted.

Edit: Fixed the Spoiler tag mistake.
Well, that's spares me a whole lot of stuff to mention.
+1 internets for you, good sir.

What I would like to add: the entire Shadow Hearts trilogy.
The tracklist isn't just long, esthetically high standard and full of variation - it also manages to fit perfectly to the situations where they're used in-game. Even in Shadow Hearts: From the New World, a game I seriously dislike otherwise because it raped the ending of what could otherwise have been a magnificent trilogy.

Don't forget to turn up the volume.

It's okay man, everyone's weird like that. I'm still firmly of the opinion that having to pay monthly for a game is nothing short of Lunacy, but that has nothing to do with music.

Okay, here we go...

Sonic Adventure 2, in particular "Live and Learn", the main theme.

Metal Gear Solid theme. I've only really played MGS4, but this theme is undeniably epic.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game - already mentioned, but still awesome!

F-Zero GX

Halo - music fits the game so well. I particularly like this piece, rather than the overused main theme.
