In terms of popularity/general awesomeness?

After finally catching up with my back issues, it looks like Naruto may well be nearly over.

One Piece, deserving or undeserving seems to be the top dog and has for a while. Bleach...seems to have quietly rotted away since Aizen wrapped up.

What is left to fill the void of similar, accessible and long running anime/manga series?

Have been hearing a lot of things about Fairy Tail but have yet to read it.

I'd be surprised if fairy tail takes the number 2 spot beyond simy being there by default. It has a real problem with doing the shounen progression of power right.

The protagonists kind of just stay the same, but beat the increasingly powerful bad guys anyway... because they remember they all kind of like being friends with each other or something. It's an asspull realization every fight and wears on you.

Now don't get me wrong, the characters are lovable and the setting is neat enough, but that character growth (both as characters and shounen fighters) is problematic.

As for who'll grab number 2? I wouldn't be surprised if it was a relatively newer one if not fairy tail. I can imagine Shounen jump or whoever produces the manga is looking around for new material.

Attack on Titan is really popular right now I think, but I'm completely clueless in the manga scene.

Is Nartuo is going to end? Ok yes I have been following the manga and at the current situation it does look like it will end soon (as in forever) but has there been a official statement from Kishimoto that it's going to end like how the Kibo state Bleach is on its final arc?

OT- I guessing it would be Fairy Tail or how popular is Toriko?

Toriko is the most likely successor. I'm out of touch with shonen these days... only really read Ippo, Bleach, and Titan, but apparently the japanese market adores Toriko.

still feels surreal that Naruto is ending. it's been a presence in the anime world since I started high school way back on '02, and while I always liked bleach better, I suppose I'll miss it all the same.

Okay One Piece is 60% done, Bleach ether ended or ending, um what would repla-- okay ether fairy tail if you wanna keep with the theme of the last 3 series ?tone? but Jojo's Bizarre adventure would be my choice. It truely comes to its own in part 3

The Manga that are about to end are Naruto and Bleach, as thus the second and third places are about to open.

Not a wild guess but Fairy Tail and Toriko will be their likely replacements but I don't feel glad for this.

I like both of them and I do believe that they are now better than Naruto and Bleach but the problem is that Manga has slowly become stale for some reason. Fan Service, Friendship is Magic and ridiculous powers ups are the norm on all of the above and I am beginning to get tired of them.

If I could change this then I would put Hunter x Hunter in the second place. Thinking about it, it could easily take the second place (if not the first) if the Mangaka hired some help and thus stop the damn thing from going on hiatus for so many times and for so long.

EDIT: Ridiculous Typo, I should really stop cutting and pasting stuff so often.

Well it's hard to say, especially since it depends on overall definition. One Piece is number 1 easily, but Bleach is definitely not in the top three, at least if you go by sales in Japan.

It's really hard to say because there are some Manga that should be much more popular than Naruto, but there are various reasons it may not be as big. Jojo is not as huge as it could be because of the lack of volumes officially released outside of Japan, at least as far as the states are involved. Hunter X Hunter has a hard time because of all the long breaks that happen.

Toriko seems like a logical choice because it seems to have overtaken Bleach in Japan, and more people seem to have been learning about it. Problem is that the anime ended so that might hurt it a little bit. As much as I don't think it should be popular, Fairy Tail will most likely overtake one of the spots, unless it ends before both of them, which is possible.
