Fallout New Vegas is on sale and having waited for the ultimate collection i might as well get it now. But what DLCs are the ones that were actually good and which ones sucked? It will save me money for other holiday sales.

Personally, I loved all of them, but if there's one you had to get above all the rest, get Old World Blues. It's hilarious and there is a ton of content.

Old World Blues and Lonesome Road are the two you need to get above all else. Dead money was a decent challenge but some parts of it were a bit annoying, I would say get it just cause it is different from all the others. Honest Hearts did not feel that long, was very easy and nothing to interesting in it besides the story of some of the legions past.

So in short, get Old World Blues and Lonesome Road by far, maybe Dead money. I didn't care for Honest Hearts so I will not suggest it.

Old World Blues is definitely the best, followed by Lonesome Road. Honestly the other two aren't really worth your time or money in my opinion.

This

Though I'd gladly get HH just to have a true 1911. And DM for the BAR.

I liked them all, but if I were to rank them...
1) Old World Blues: Lots of content, very funny, has many callbacks to main game/other DLC stuff, coolest loot.

2) Honest Hearts: Beautiful new area. Short quest line, but has some great environmental storytelling. You meet the Burned Man, who is an interesting character. And you get my favorite pistol in the game. I think people like me (who love the survival aspect of the game) are more likely to enjoy Honest Hearts, as it has gotten a very mixed reaction. It's very close to Old World Blues for me, though.

3) Lonesome Road: It closes out one of the stories that was hinted at some in the main game and was foreshadowed heavily in all the DLC. It's linear, but the environment is unique as it is a completely destroyed city. Has some tough fights. It can be hard even for level 50 characters.

4) Dead Money: I didn't like this one my first time through. But it grew on me the next time. The story is great, but there are several new gameplay elements that are tedious and can frustrate you.

5) Gun Runner's Arsenal: It's just weapons. Most of them are fun to use, though (especially some of the unarmed ones like the Two-Step Goodbye).

6) Courier's Stash: Gives you all the pre-order bonus items at the start of the game. It's useful, and actually pretty overpowered for the beginning of New Vegas. Take it or leave it.

I liked them all, and found them all to be worth it. They're easily worth the money, even the worst of them (which is Dead Money).

They're like a dollar apiece with the sale - just get them all.

I will agree on the courier's stash really tipping the scales in the beginning of the game. I was able to go straight from Goodsprings north to New Vegas, mostly due to the Mercenary's Grenade Rifle. Might spoil a first time play through, but it was greatly appreciated given that this is my second.

Old World Blues is the best, but, in all honesty, I think Fallout: New Vegas has set the standard for good DLC. They're all pretty damn good, if you can afford them.

Gotta go with this I guess. I didn't LOVE any of them, but OWB and LR were the only ones that were even somewhat good.

Dead Money is good, but a little too linear for my tastes.
Honest Hearts is ok. Nothing special in my opinion.
Old World Blues is excellent. Definitely my favourite.
Lonesome Road I haven't played yet, having just bought it from Steam today.

They're all really good but Honest Hearts has the least amount of content, I thought. Dead Money is personally my favorite but Lonesome Road and Old World Blues are probably two of the best dlc out there.

The best part (or at least an excellent addition) of the FO:NV dlc is the items you get to bring back with you to the main game. So while the other three are no brainers (get them) I'd suggest getting Honest Hearts if only for the +5 levels, new perks and guns.

Oh yeah and if you have a pc you may not need them but the Gun Runner and Courier's Stash dlc help tip the game balance in your favor a little. I thought it was worth it =)

I'm surprised to see that so many disliked Dead Money, I rank it as my personal favourit DLC of all time. I think the story and area was great, and the characters were amazing.
I even felt sorry for the poor Scribe who had been mutilated, and Dog/God... wow, such a great psychological horror character.

Funny enough, I rank Honest Hearts one of the worst DLC's I have ever played. That whole area just felt boring, no amount of care given for the characters, at all.

Old World Blues was okay, worth playing. A few jokes here and there, very Fallout like (whatever that is these days).

Didn't play through Lonesome Road, Was pretty much done with New Vegas once that came out.
I got it and entered the zone, seeing the dusty fog I just felt a massive vomit feeling with "Not this shit again" and turned off.

They're all great.

Dead Money has a great setting, interesting and unique characters, a good story, a good antagonist and is the only time in both Fallout 3 and New Vegas that I felt like I was weak and threatened.

Honest Hearts has a beautiful new area to explore with some very interesting loot and the survivalist's story is very interesting.

Old World Blues is funny, loot heavy, full of hilarious characters, great perks and new traits and a cool new home.

Lonesome Road wraps up the story of the Courier and features an interesting story and is can be very challenging.

Also a great thing about all of them is that they are all connected to each other and the Mojave. The vanilla game features a lot of foreshadowing to what you find in the DLCs and the DLCs offer answers to the things you find in the Mojave.

For me Old World Blues was the stand out of the bunch, followed by Lonesome Road. Those two are the best of the bunch, but all of the DLC are worth your time and money

Get them all. They all tie together in one way or another and explain a lot of backstory that gets foreshadowed in the main game.

Old World Blues and Lonesome road are definitely the best and must-haves.

The Zion one is okay and interesting, but not especially great.

Dead Money on the other hand, is terrible in every way. Terrible story, terrible reward, terrible gameplay, terrible enemies. The entire DLC is an exercise in frustration, anger and rage. And you don't get shit for it either.
