As long as they can stay faithful to the weirdness of the original series, The Prisoner.

I loved the original, but the episodes between the pilot and finale could be played in almost any order. Having seasonal story arcs and actual reoccurring characters would help.

They're not really remaking or rebooting Mrs. Doubtfire; they're just making a sequel.

But to answer your question, I'd guess the Beverly Hillbillies. Why? 'Cause why not?
Yeah I should of put "add sequel" in the title (since Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull is another example of adding sequel to an old film) but I didn't make the thread title already longer than it is!

Err they actually did remake that in 2009 (I guess I should put that in the example list)-
Oh that make sense now since one of thing I was annoyed with it was that each episode was not connected/ make reference to the last one (each episode feel like a stand alone)! Overall it was ok.

Flash gordon. Although the queen soundtrack and poor effects made it charming it was still quite a bad film

I dont know who would play flash but ben kingsley has to play ming the merciless. Get brian may involved too for the soundtrack and have some epic synth guitar laser battles between the AJAX and hawkmen

I don't think that's the remake I'm looking for. I'd rather have something that's more of an ongoing series.

Phantom of the Opera. I'm amazed that it hasn't been done yet. It's a beloved classic, and yet the most prominent film adaptation to date is almost universally considered to be pretty bad.
