Well considering Baldur's Gate 3 can't come out because Atari has exclusive publishing rights with D&D, it'd have to be 2nd edition. Plus BG2 was all 2nd edition; BG1 was just second edition with a bunch of random rules for weapons and it didn't have dual wielding or the complete progression for weapons as I recall (though its been forever since the resolution is too small for me to want to play BG1 these days). I wouldn't care if it was 4.0 though, just get the same team to make a Baldur's Gate game. The console games proved it doesn't have to be the same characters involved (and that Black Isle didn't screw up games like Obsidian does).Eclectic Dreck said:I don't know if I want a third game in that exact narrative. It seems like by the end of Throne of Baal there wasn't much left the for the characters to do. Once you're badass enough to storm the gates of Hell (or at least the D&D equivalent) to reclaim a soul, there really isn't much left to test your power against.ItsAPaul said:Baldur's Gate 3 assuming Bioware developed it instead of Obsidian.
That said, I would like another game set in that particular world, with the same level of writing and character development. And if that could be done using the DA:O engine all the better.
I am curious however - would you want them to use the 2+3.0 modified ruleset of BG2, the older system of BG1 or Icewind Dale, or some other system entirely? I felt like I was in the minority when they moved forward with the rules, but it made things so much easier to understand.
I clearly understand better than you think.Zeeky_Santos said:You clearly don't understand something here.Icehearted said:The complete Starcraft 2, not this 1/3 a game at full price thrice crap.
SC2 part 1 is gonna have 30 campaign missions, guess how many campaign missions were in the first SC? that's right, 30. they aren't releasing one game split into 3 for three times the price, they are releasing 3 games as 3 parts for the right price. In multiplayer you aren't gonna be forced to play terrans, that'd be stupid.
Agreed. Will be interesting to see what the game ends up like.Composer said:i am alive
