Turkey. At some bloody point someone will start listing how many ethnicities we supposedly have genocided; appearently these people still live in the previous century, as we are "continuing" to "genocide" them.

Also, talking about Turkey's EU membership bid is a whole other level of annoying. People will constantly shout that Turkey isn't in Europe, that it's moosleem and that Turks plan to invade Germany and Vienna to sell more kebab and lokums.

Soap Operas. Reality TV shows. Celebrities.
May I please ask why? I'm so humoured by this.
Of course you may. In general it may be simply my own intolerance and inability to deal with anger issues which, in turn, may be related to my age.

However, to expand on my response; nothing boils my blood like listening to people debating and arguing about vacuous TV shows created by pointing cameras at people off the street who's only qualifications for being filmed is a desire to be filmed. Excessive airtime and debate given to celebrities and their causes disproportionate to their understanding of the deeper issues, or the relative merits of the cause under debate. Puerile media fascination with celebrities and their marital indescretions and moral failings and associating periodical sales figures with general public interest in this kind of tawdry underfilth. Giving the oxygen of publicity to the unworthy, the ignoble and the extremes of our society. The idea that because I benefit from living in a market economy, this grants blanket permission for any company to infect my life with demands to buy their products, by electronically following me around supermarkets to see what I am buying and then asking me why I bought it and then demanding I buy more.

In short - stifling discussion on important human issues by burying it under self-interest disguised as entertainment - and then blaming me for wanting it in the first place.

Sorry.... I'd better go and have a lie down

Politics. I can't help but feel that whenever people talk about they're political stances that they're either uninformed idiots or biased in some sort of way. I don't really have a political affiliation and don't vote.

Also I want to say that the post above me is something I highly agree with also, good post man.
