Wrote this article a long time ago about which other series' Telltale should turn into games and thought it would make a decent conversation here: http://culturedvultures.com/5-telltale-games-releases-wed-love-see/

5. Lost
4. Twin Peaks
3. Sin City
2. Dexter
1. The Last of Us

Do you have any to add? No idea what's wrong with the images on that article, think it's a CDN issue.

I think Dexter would have made a great Telltale game if...well....you know, didn't happen

Dexter died in the ocean....SHUT UP! The last two minutes didn't happen! DEXTER IS DEAD NOT A F'ING LUMBERJACK!!!!

Honestly, I wish Telltale would focus on doing their own thing rather than adaptions. Adaptions force you into a box that you have to play in. I haven't played it yet but I know going into Game of Thrones that characters like Tyrion, Cersei, and basically everyone that is in the show/book have to survive. Unless you go completely separate like Walking Dead but then...what's the point of paying for the license of adapting?

I just finished Episode 1 of The Wolf Among Us (yeah, I'm waaaay late to this party) but I have a feeling that I'm going to enjoy this game when anything can happen to anyone a lot more than I would an adaption from something. I suppose you could argue this is also an adaption but these are Public Domain characters so Telltale can do whatever they want with them.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I hate Telltale games. They're always so mawkish and melodramatic. Everyone keeps going on about how 'human' they're characters are and blah blah blah! And I would say that A)they're not Telltale characters. Telltale is the video game equivalent of fanfiction.

and B) try playing one of their games without watching/reading the attached work its based off of. Basically, take away what you already feel and let the game speak for itself. Don't walk in already loving X, Y or Z because if the game is sooooo good at characters, you should be able to fall in love with them, without years of preparatory work. And in that light, Telltale truly falls flat.

Having said all that, I think an IP that doesn't already have a deep seated hardcore fanbase with extreme emotional attachments. Something where the writers can actually show off their chops, rather than hoping you saw last week's episode of whatever and are still rocking whatever emotional state that put you in.
Warhammer 40k, maybe? I know its fanbase is hardcore and stuff, but don't use any established characters or chapters. Do what THQ did and make your own. Or have it be about an Inquisitor doing whatever they do, but again, all original characters and locations.
See if Telltale can make a stand alone game that doesn't need book/tv show support.

Disclaimer I do not know anything about the Game of Thrones TV show /Disclaimer

I can see them using the Game of Thrones just as they used the walking dead. All they have to do is use a whole new cast or do something like Tales of Borderland. I am pretty sure The Wolf Among Us is not an original IP if my memory serves me right it is also an adaptation of a comic book. Checks Google... here is the link

....damn it Telltale!!!!

I stand by my statement about adaptions, although now I'm curious if they could handle their own thing; I assumed this was just a take on Grimm's Fairy Tales so even that gave them a little crutch but they didn't even go that far...

The great thing about TWAU is that the comic its adapted from allows characters to be killed and then resurrected without retcons. Also the game predated the start of the comic by at least a decade so it gives Telltale some room to maneuver.

OP: I agree a twin peaks game would be pretty cool maybe they could redo season 2 so it makes sense and doesn't go all stupid towards the end.

Okay, hear me out on this: Supernatural.

The formula would already lend itself perfectly to a GTA V/Alan Wake style game. And I think it would be perfect for Telltale. Best part about all of this is that you don't have to focus on seasonal story arcs. Just create "cases" for the brothers to do and voila.

I'd rather they didn't take on any more franchises until they're done with the ones they have. I don't like having to wait 3 months between episodes!

Archer.

I think it would fit perfectly.

Though lately Telltale hasn't exactly been on their best game lately. Too many projects to juggle at the same time?

They need to do one with Spartacus. The episodes would be perfect.

Episode 1- His fight against the Romans and eventual capture.
Episode 2- His time training, meeting other gladiators, and introduction to politics.
Episode 3- His first fight in the arena and rise to power.
Episode 4- the start of his rebellion and slaughter of his owners
Episode 5- His rebellion and death.

Look at that, perfect. Plenty of chances for awesome fights, original characters, and a drama filled story. I would love it. I'd also like to see them do something that doesn't get enough story love. AKA, The Elder Scrolls or Fallout. Imagine a story set in those universes with deep stories and awesome characters. I'd sign right the fuck up.

You two just became two of my favorite people in all the universe.

OT:
The only other ideas I have besides the ones said by the two epic people above would be a Batman game. I know, I know Batman is everywhere but a Batman game made by Telltale would be able to actually focus on the Detective part of playing THE WORLDS GREATEST DETECTIVE for a change.

That or a Hellblazer game. You control Constantine (of cause) and your only guide for making choices is simply 'How much of a Bastard do I want to be'.

I would love to see an adaptation of Archer.

What I would love even more is to see another episode of Tales from the Borderlands. It's coming up on three months now and the Game of Thrones game has already gotten it's second episode. What gives, TellTale?

Honestly, I'd just like them to finish the ones they've got going now.

BUT! To echo a couple of people, an Archer game would be fuckin' sweet
