In most cultures there's a personification of Death. The most well known in the west to be the Grim Reaper, a man in a black robe with a scyth to reap his harvest of souls for the afterlife.
Then there's the Greek Hadies, lord of thier underworld.
And these are just the two that come to my mind! Seeing as my knowledge on the persona of Death in various cultures is limited, a poll will have to wait.
