Thanatos is the Greek god of Death, and his brother is Morpheus the god of dreams. :)
I'm pretty sure Thanatos and Morpheus were daemons, not true Olympian gods. I just thought I'd put that out there.
Not quite. They were part of the rather large group of minor deities representing the abstract personifications of the human condition.

Ker was another one that represented death, but while Thanatos was that of natural death, Ker was that of violent death.

OT: Were I to become 'Death', then... well, look at my avatar. Forlorn, solitary, bereft of hope and introspective.

Were death to take my soul, then yet another vote for Death the Endless from Sandman, purely because I think we'd have a good conversation which I doubt I'd ever want to end...

Definitely Valkyries. Better go find a decent battle to be mortally wounded in, otherwise that wish won't be fulfilled.

Hmm im gonna say one of the soul reapers from bleach, either thaat or get eaten by a hollow, become a hollow myself and just go on a wild rampage eating everyones souls. That could be intresting.

Either that or the death from the discworld novels, I'd ask him if I can ride Binky.

Terry Pratchett's Death from the Discworld series or Gregg the Grim Reaper from Conker's Bad Fur Day. Just to see a mini death with a high pitched, sweary voice would make my passing all the more humorous.

Either Death from Discworld or Valkyries.
Although personally if there is a personification of Death, I can't help but think of a kindly old man, smiling faintly as he takes you to the next realm, saying nothing, yet oddly comforting.

Probably Valkyries, I mean a stunningly beautiful woman decending from the heavens to whisk me off to a realm of endless wine, wenchs and warfare, what's not to like? Though I've never been fully clear on what happens if you get killed in Valhalla as well, so the good bits might be pretty short lived if you die for good.
You die and are ressurected each day in training for Ragnarok where you die...I'm not sure what happens after that. I believe you're soul is free to make it's own Vahalla. (I'm Asatru by the way if you think I'm just talking to look knowledgable)
Well then that settles it, I want a valkyrie.

Death from the Discworld novels. We'd have a nice conversation before he reaped my soul, and it would be a very pleasant chat.

Well obviously, this:

Firstly, why am I the first to post this? Second, I just beat P3 yesterday (man, that was a great boss). Third, the moon. Nuff said.
