I don't know if I fit into a normal archetype. I think my closest would be a warlock. (That's a pet class right?)

I'm a networker, I solve problems. I bring disparate groups together and nudge them into cooperation. My jock friend was having trouble with his English grades, I introduced him to my bookworm friend. Drumline friend wants a computer, meet geek friend. I'm having trouble with a bully, this calls for giant samoan kid. I don't confront problems directly, I send them to someone else who can handle it.

I've found that most people genuinely want to help as long as it's something they are good at. Big guy doesn't mind being large and imposing, just like bookworm will talk about the Odyssey all day long. It's all about finding the people who fit the problem and then standing back while they do it for you. I don't think people even realize I'm doing it, I tend to be subtle when i'm nudging someone into solving my problems.

I'm like societal glue, I make groups stick together. I'm not that special in my own right and by myself I probably won't get much done. But I have a knack for surrounding myself with useful people and then getting them to help. My lack of outstanding features allows me to blend into any group.

So I'm a Warlock, why fight myself when I can get the demon to do it for me?

I typically play thief characters with high charisma and a specialization in ranged weapons if I can get it (No. That does not make me a rouge. I object. Thieves are cooler.) Does it suit me?

Socially, I'm one of those guys who stays below the whole "clique" scene. I have acquaintances in all groups but no real affiliation with any of them and it takes a long time for me to really warm up to people (always friendly but I'm slow to trust). You could say I'm a man of mystery. I've got lots of contacts on the street who keep me apprised but few real confidants.

I don't like people to be dependant on me but if they have problems I'll ussually do what I can to end it (typically behind the scenes, indirect like). I prefer to stay to the side in groups and I don't like people giving me authority or responsibilities. When I encounter problems myself I tend to dodge them carefully and try to stay out of the way. When I can't do that, I deal with them quickly and with finality so I don't have to worry about them again.

You could say I'm the thief in the group who hangs out to the side so enemies don't notice him. He's in it for his own defense but occasionally he'll step in quickly to poison/stab an enemy who's beating his allies. I'm loosly affiliated with the group but only because they need someone who can pick locks and get around tricky situations and I need people who will do the normal stuff while I innovate. I dodge my enemies until I absolutely need to dispatch them (and then it's longbow from the other side of the room to the back of the head).

So, I guess I play a thief because I'm thiefy. I never really thought of it that way. I just thought I was having fun jacking stuff.

I usually go for the mage class and if possible the fire spec as its fun to blow shit up. Don't know what it says about me but i like the idea of standing at the back out of harms way and dealing large amounts of fiery death to my opponents.

i always seem to be a healing mage or an archer...a good supporting character for a group, but not as central to the action as a tank or sweeper.

I used to be all about the rogue/thief or the mage/sorcerer types. Close up stealth or long ranged casters. Recently I've taken a certain liking to Paladins/clerics. Heavily armoured healing smiters. So for the moment, I'll say Paladin or Cleric.

But a paladin/cleric who recognises the necessity of having a personal store of money >_>

I enjoy bringing my natural Roguiness into a game... It also works for counterstrike....

I can stealth my way through most levels and take them out with silenced weaponry

And also they are they easiest for me to RP, as they fit my natural inclination for Neutral Good (Rules Schmooles)
*Twitch* But Paladin's are LAWFUL...Oh well.

I play my Paladins Neutral Good, but still lawful enough to pass as one. it's tricky sometimes.

Paladin, defender of the realm and the bringer of justice to those who seek to pervert the ways of the light. A true beacon of hope in a dieing world, that is the role of the Paladin.

I love being a Paladin, seriously they can kick so much arse. Any sort of zombie want a piece of me? LAY ON HANDS! My comrades all sick and dieing? LAY ON HANDS! Multi purpose awesomeness. Plus they are really darn handy with a sword.

I have personally always preferred Clerics to Paladins (If we're talking D&D/Hackmaster/etc) I don't like being tied down by 'law' instead, I choose to follow a deity who's alignment is similar to mine, calling down holy fire, and inspiring my allies with each blow.

Sure, I may not swing as hard as a paladin, or be a justice-wielding fiend. But I'm handy in just about any situation, some way, some how.

It's entirely true. I'm known for having a short-temper and my preference to get up close and take obstacles head-on, and therefore passionately committed to my WoW warrior. And physically, I can take a lot of hits, and get very protective of my friends, so I also naturally tank with both a warrior AND a paladin.

And I know two guys who are probably the nicest, but kind-of wishy-washy guys...They play paladins, and just about paladins ONLY. >.> Go figure.

Since in real life, I can soak up a lot of damage, when I do roll pally, it's usually holy/prot, and can probably fall down a jagged cliff with a nice buff, heal my crippled body, and walk away. And I never like to play a class that wears anything less than mail.

The D&D description of a Bard (Ye gods)as a "Jack of all trades" fit me well. I know a little about everything, but not enough to actually be terribly good at it.

I had alot of fun on WoW as a feral druid (jack of all trades seems to be popular). Two sets of gear, one for solo, one for tanking. I enjoyed tanking and if i ever got bored, i could simply go solo with the best of them. Good times. Shame my computer can't really run it properly...

A fast berserker. There's no role I enjoy more in any RPG than getting right up in a baddie's face and engaging in one-on-one puglism. If my squishier allies are starting to feel the pain, the best solution is to find the creep who's hurting them and hit them hard, preferably with something that stuns as well as inflicts damage.

Strangely this is nothing at all what I'm like in RL. Although I like to think I would do that to someone who attacked one of my friends.
